This thing is awesome. I have the 10,000 mah version with the kickstand and the screen. It’s relatively big but no bigger then my other 10,000 battery pack and that one doesn’t have a screen or kickstand. This thing charges my iPhone 15 pro fine. It’s not “too big” for the camera bump or the length. It’s perfectly fine. I kinda tested it but I would say the claim of 1.9 charges is accurate. I will say you will have to be careful that if you are really using the phone or have a big case on, it will trap heat and make the phone stop charging FaceTime and charging while the phone is low on battery will make it real hot. This is because the lower the iPhone battery the faster the phone will charge which means more heat and energy. When the battery percent is higher it’ll work better. Lastly the screen only shows charge time not discharge time or watts. That’s fine. It does show the percent which is nice. And it’ll show qi2 for a compatible phone. It does have a strong magnet and charges AirPods Pro which is so cool because it’s one less cord to pack since I have the old one with lightning. Really good piece of gear. Got one of these a number of months back as a portable battery for my iPhone 13 Pro. Used it rather heavily for a bit, but my enthusiasm has since cooled a bit with it for mostly one major reason: heat. One problem inherent with wireless charging is that it's generally inefficient. Charging solutions that use magnets for alignment (like this one) can improve efficiency a fair bit compared to non magnetic wireless chargers, but you're always going to have a portion of the energy lost in the form of heat. This has two primary side effects: it can make the phone and battery uncomfortable to handle, and it can reduce the life of both batteries through thermal damage. Now, Apple isn't a dumb company. It does have some software mitigations to help their phones run as best they can, usually by slowing charging speed after the phone heats up past a certain point (both with wired and wireless charging). Problem is, on multiple occasions I've found my phone begins reporting itself as overheating while charging with this, which isn't good. This manifests as the flashlight being disabled to keep temperature in check as well as the phone's performance being throttled to reduce heat output. Longer term, it can also have an impact on your battery health, and I think as a result of my heavy use of this battery, my battery health is a fair bit worse than it'd be if I had charged via a cable. This isn't just a phone problem; this also affects the battery itself. I try to keep the wireless charging use to a minimum as a response. Now, beyond this, the charger is alright. It's perhaps a bit bulkier than I originally thought it'd be, which can complicate stuffing it in a pocket, but I've grown used to it. The kickstand is a nice feature, but it's rather thin, which means that it can fall over if you don't stand it up just right. Wish it was either thicker or full frame like comparable products from competitors. I guess my verdict is this: it works for what it is, but you may want to stick with using a cable for the sake of battery health. Read more
