Lightweight, reliable sunscreen I keep coming back to

MarcelaDecember 18, 2025

I’ve been using this sunscreen for a long time and I always end up coming back to it. The texture is very lightweight and fluid, absorbs quickly, and doesn’t leave my skin feeling heavy or greasy. It blends easily, leaves no white cast at all (which is extremely important to me), and works perfectly under makeup. I have sensitive, dry skin and this sunscreen has never irritated me or caused breakouts. What I really appreciate is how comfortable it feels throughout the day. It doesn’t pill, doesn’t sting my eyes, and it gives a natural finish that looks good whether I’m wearing makeup or not. It’s one of those products you can apply in the morning and forget about because it just does its job quietly and well. I’ve tried many sunscreens over the years, especially Korean ones, and this is one of the most consistent formulas I’ve used. For the price and quality, it’s absolutely worth it, and I would repurchase it without hesitation. There’s really no excuse not to wear sunscreen when products like this exist. Read more

Can't believe a mineral sunscreen can go on so well! But it does! It really does!

Lush LandscapesOctober 22, 2024

I have to use mineral sunscreens as I am pale as a ghost and was diagnosed with melanoma a few years ago. Luckily I'm clear of it now, but if you develop one melanoma, you have a very good chance of having another one. Mineral sunscreens' active ingredient (usually zinc oxide) does not degrade in the bottle or on your skin and it provides both A & B coverage. So I slather it on every day, rain or shine, But oh what a slog. I have been through so many. It's usually like smearing not quite room temperature butter over your skin, it's impossible to blend in and feels like a sticky mess. Trying to put on makeup over is not much fun either as it either grips it and won't allow you to blend it, or it smears all over. And I know I'm white as a piece of paper, but these sunscreens are whiter than me. And it shows. I've found a couple of good ones over the years, but they always change the formula to add something like Alumina - which has given me terrible chemical burns (I'd prefer a sunburn) or Octocrylene, which has been identified as a health hazard and is actually banned in some countries. While Etude Surprise has neither of these ingredients, I felt like kicking myself when the bottle arrived. It was sooooo small. For $17.00? I was mad at myself for not checking how much product I'd get. Now I am SOOOO glad I did not check because I never would have bought Etude Surprise and I would have missed out on this stellar sunscreen. You have to shake the bottle to be sure the product is well mixed, but once you do it comes out as a light liquid - which seems wrong because most sunscreens are so different - until you apply it to your skin. It smooths on and spreads to cover brilliantly. No white cast at all. It dries down (and after just the right amount of time so you can cover your skin easily, but still put on makeup right away) to....well, what looks and feels like your healthy natural skin. I suppose it's slightly matte, because I wasn't greasy like a pig or shining like a disco ball. But it didn't feel dry or tight, just comfortable. And I don't think I've put on makeup this easily, using such small amounts, with full color and coverage payoff - and absolutely NO smearing or stuck clumpy product. I look beautiful, if I must say so myself. This will be my sunscreen forever (unless they change the formula) and I beg them never ever to do such a thing! Read more

My new favorite

Customer ReviewJuly 6, 2025

Very good for protection, didn't cause any break out, confortable to wear, very light and does not give me any additional shine. Does not interfere with my make up performance. It does leave a white cast, but it's not too bad under make up so it doesn't bother me, but would not recommend for dark skin. Budget friendly. Read more

Its decent

AjaJuly 17, 2025

I have been having trouble finding a sunscreen without Avobenzone (makes me rashy) so I got this one as a mineral backup while I look for a chemical one that actually works for me. Its fine. It absolutely does have a white cast, as do ALL mineral sunscreens. It also does pill if you let it dry down before applying makeup which you should be doing. It works OK with my cushion foundation over it and a very light touch with cream blush. I have normal to dry skin and the finish is not what I would consider dewy, but it is not super matte either. Its an affordable option and does not irritate my skin so Im happy with it altogether. It has a thin consistency but you still need 1/4 tsp for adequate protection. Read more

No Whitecast

KrisJanuary 15, 2026

I really like this sunscreen. Most sunscreens are very thick and creamy, and when you apply them, they leave white streaks on the skin and take a long time to blend in. This one is more liquid and lightweight, so it applies very easily and evenly. It doesn’t leave any white residue at all and absorbs quickly. Very convenient to use and feels great on the skin. Definitely a great sunscreen. Read more

Holy grail sunscreen!

D.A.April 20, 2025

What a pleasant, light sunscreen. I find other sunscreens like Anessa, Neutrogena, CeraVe, and La Roche Posay too oily for my face (no matter how much they claim to be non-greasy). Chemical sunscreens like Biore look great, but the alcohol can smell strong and be a bit drying in colder weather. This sunscreen is JUST RIGHT! I've never had a physical sunscreen sit this lightly on my face. Sometimes I'll use setting powder on top for a more matte finish, but I can also wear no powder and still feel glowy, not greasy. I love it! Read more

Smells nice, not oily

AsherOctober 2, 2025

Love this sunscreen, it’s my go to for my face. Doesn’t smell like sunscreen, doesn’t feel like you put oil on your face. It’s very light weight. The bottle is pocket sized. It’s does leave a white cast when I first put it on but it’s goes away after 15min Read more

Lightweight but has a white cast

MeghanSeptember 11, 2025

I bought this after my Missha sun milk ran out and it works well (but I still prefer Missha). The consistency goes on smooth, is lightweight and doesn't feel sticky. I knocked off a star because this sunscreen does have a slightly white cast and a distinct smell. My boyfriend's commented on both before, without realizing I was wearing sunscreen. The elimination of both of those things would make this product perfect. Read more
