Great light for camping and home emergencies. Light is compact and light weight therefore easy to carry. Light is bright but has a warm tone and great for camping, very functional. Batteries last long time. I mostly use this light for camping but when we had a power outage in my house. Great light. Highly recommend this product. Read more

Light weight. Very light weight...puts out good light. If your power goes out you could see to eat or read or move about and not deal with potentially dangerous oil lamps. This is NOT super high powered lumens. The trade off is that the batteries will run it for days. So....if you want lights that will last during a three day or more black out from a storm...this is a great way to go. No frills...no dimmer....just good light for many hours. You get the two lanterns and 8 batteries. Each use either two....cool...or all four batteries. I put all four into each. So if you already have a multifunctional light.....add these in to the mix. I have a 20 year old battery powered....very heavy weighted one ....I needed more and did NOT want to pay the 30 bucks a comparable one costs today. My old one has not had a battery change in probably 10 years. I DO use it for camping and walking outside. This is a great price for long lasting light. No it will not light up a huge room like ceiling lights. It WILL allow you as I said to read....eat....walk around.... It would indeed light up a small tent like a two to four man tent. This is a great gift for anyone. Having the batteries come with it is a super good plus especially if this is a gift. Five stars. Five. When I click five it acts weird. I am giving this two pack for 15 dollars or less five stars Read more

These little lights are perfect for emergencies, just make sure you have some batteries stored with them. I like that you can put only 2 batteries in, or four, and there is a raised diagram in the battery compartment indicating how to put them in if you're only using 2. The light is not blinding, but diffused nicely through the white plastic. They are super lightweight and would be great to use in a backpack for camping. No need to have a charger, just keeps some batteries handy. They are sturdy and because of the shape won't topple over. I put them in a container that I store where I have to go during tornados, so I'll have light readily available. The button is easy to use to turn it on and off. I'm definitely going to buy more and put one in the car in case of emergency. Their compact size makes them easy to add to any bugout or emergency bag. Read more

UPDATE Oct 25 2925..... The batteries that came with these were Ever Ready, and when I had to use this light, I found the batteries lasted, at decent light output, for 3 days...9 hrs each day. Since then, these have become battery guzzlers. If I insert 4, and run for 9 hrs a night, by the next day the output light is dim. Still, in an emergency siruation they work as intended. Otherwise they're battery guzzlers....but battery companies such as E and D (you know who I mean) make their batteries with less life these days. Very disappointing since ER are expensive. INITIAL REVIEW. Work as intended. No fuss. No muss. These are just for emergencies when the power goes out. Operate on 2 or 4 batteries. And batteries were included. I used 4. It has a simple on/off button. Can be hung or they can stand on a surface. Clean compact design. Nothing fancy at all, no annoying usb charger to mess with. They get the job done. I doubt the battery compartment is waterproof but hey, I'm not planning on using them outside. They have enough light to see to get around. Not overly bright. One of these lamps shed enough light for me to be able to see my way through a pitch black garage. I bought 4 lamps (2 packs) and I may get more. Very handy to have for unexpected power outages. Not sure how long the batteries last, but if our next outage is lengthy I'll let you know. Read more

This lantern is super easy to use, stands on its own which is very convenient and is really bright. Look and work well. Seems well built and durable. It is versatile as you can easily hold it by the handle or hang it. Works with 4 AA batteries. I have not tested how long it lasts. We are ready for the next power outage! Read more

These are my go-to for power outages. I have 4 sets and the house lights up well when the power goes off. Great handle to move them around even for little ones to hold. They gives good clear lighting even in the dark of night. I tape the batteries to the bottom so they are ready to go and don't wear down inside of the lantern. Great to use for camping and emergency needs at home. I keep one in each of the cars, much better than a flashlight. I highly recommend. Read more

One flickers a lot but I don't see the damage so it must be internal. The button is kinda goofy. They seem a little flimsy but okay value for the price. Then again I got them on sale. Pros - bright and came in handy during a power outage. Read more
