Surprising quality and style

I’ve had Everest fanny packs since the 1980s, and they’ve always been reliable bags, if a little cheap looking. Literally, it’s the brand you see often at the flea market and in tourist trap luggage stores. But this bag is surprisingly nice looking and has a clever expansion gusset that keeps it slim and close to your body when closed, but adds a nice bit of volume when zipped open. It doesn’t have the giant “EVEREST” badge on it, which is the best part of its look, and the cord zip pulls are much nicer than the cheap metal ones that jingle about on other cheap bags. From a distance, it looks like an expensive EDC brand sling. Just don’t expect the technical bells and whistles of high end gear. Read more
