Was a bit skeptical about the accuracy about this test but was experiencing a lot of gastrointestinal issues that my doctors couldn’t really identify so out of desperation and a last-ditch effort I ordered the Everlywell. My highest reactivity results were for lactose and gluten (which I kind of suspected prior to testing). After the test seemed to confirm my suspicions I cut out as much lactose and gluten (and a few other reactive foods) as possible from my daily diet and the results have been life changing. I had assumed that many of my gastrointestinal issues (which increased throughout the years) were simply a part of aging. I thought that’s just how my life was going to be now. Apparently I was damaging my gut on a daily basis and once I altered my diet according to the test results there was immediate and lasting improvement. I used to always feel my gut in some way. It felt heavy and thick. Not just after eating but overall, there was always a nagging feeling of something in there being “off.” (And that’s not to mention all the bouts of bloating, diarrhea, pain, etc) Since taking this test and making adjustments, that’s ALL gone. I’m in my late 40s and haven’t felt this good since I was in my 20s, when I could eat whatever I want and never suffer any consequences. I cannot stress enough how much my quality of life and overall comfortability have increased. It’s wonderful and only wish I’d made these changes sooner. My mother has celiac and one of my closest friends is vegan, so I had folks to turn to for advice about gluten and lactose free alternatives. There are many options these days, ones that won’t leave you missing gluten or lactose at all. They are a bit more expensive and the calorie/carbohydrate content can be a bit higher, but overall the change is worth it. Very happy I pulled the trigger and ordered this test. The process was simple and the results were ready within days. If you take the test and adjust your diet according to your results you should hopefully feel an immediate improvement! Read more

UPDATE 16-May-2018: We had my husband do this test so we could compare results. We call him the dog with hands because the man can eat everything in sight without issue. Sure enough, his test results show almost no reactivity to foods - just yogurt, which we knew about. I have major food issues - GERD, gluten intolerance, IC, IBS, migraines, and allergies. My test results show significant reactivity to a broad range of foods - and these are foods we knew I had issues with. I am convinced this test is pretty legit. PREVIOUS REVIEW: This test won’t confirm lactose intolerance nor celiac disease. All it does is show IgG reactive levels - antibodies. The medical community is divided over what this means for food tolerance. Humans develop antibodies as protection against foreign substances like viruses. If you have had chicken pox, you have antibodies against chicken pox. This doesn’t guarantee that you won’t get chicken pox, but it definitely reduces your chances significantly. But does having chicken pox antibodies make you willing to eat the chicken pox virus? Well, food is no different. There are foods our bodies believe are harmful foreign agents and so our bodies build up antibodies to protect us from them. Does the presence of the antibodies mean you are now safe to enjoy those foods? This is where the medical community is divided. NIH has published results of a study that shows elimating IgG-reactive foods reduces migraines. Here is what I can tell you - wheat and gluten are on my reactive IgG list. I eliminated both and I went from near-daily migraines to about 3 per month. IgG antibodies trigger an inflammatory response. That response will manifest in different human bodies in different ways. Migraines in some, brain fog or joint pain in others. Maybe lethargy, fatigue, insomnia, etc., it all depends on how the inflammatory response occurs. This test is only going to tell you your IgG reactivity to foods. It won’t tell you how that reactivity in you manifests. Maybe it doesn’t. Or maybe it’s the source of that mystery joint pain you are having. The human body is a complex ecosystem. No two bodies react exactly the same because we all have different gut bacteria, diets, genetics, medications, etc. Each of these things contributes to your unique chemistry. How these IgG-reactive foods impact your chemistry really can only be determined through an elimination diet and then reintroduction of one IgG-reactive food at a time so you can see how your body reacts to it. All this test will do is narrow down a possible list of foods based on IgG reactivity only. Celiac disease and lactose intolerance are two examples of food issues that this test will NOT reveal. Food intolerance has several possible causes - IgG just being one among many - and there are likely many more that we aren’t even aware of yet. So don’t put all of your eggs in one basket, so to speak. This test is just one piece of your body’s ecological mystery puzzle. Read more

I know for a fact that gluten causes inflammation for me with over 40 years of personal experience. Most of it while having no idea what the problem was. I had a collection of foods that didn't agree with me and only after gluten became a 'thing' did I put it all together. 100% certain with dramatic improvements after eliminating gluten and 7 years of supporting evidence. I can cheat a little if I take digestive supplements. For this test I cheated more often for a few weeks prior and even skipped the supplements a few times. My results were almost zero for gluten and wheat was lower than most other foods. Coffee was on the high end, also clams and eggplant. I HATE coffee and have not had anything containing it for years that I am aware of. I'm not a fan of clams and don't believe I have eaten any in a very long time. Same with eggplant. Not a lot of hidden sources for eggplant. The only thing super high on my list was almonds and being GF and lactose intolerant, almonds and almond milk are major part of my diet. Cows milk and yogurt were on the high end and I did find out that I had become lactose intolerant a little over a month ago. But this test doesn't test for lactose. So basically this test suggests I should eat all the gluten I want and cut back on almonds and dairy. Dairy has already been cut and the test is dead wrong about almonds and gluten. I just feel like I wasted money. Read more
