I couldn't agree less with the two two-star comments so far. This is a great feeling mouse and it works as advertised. The speed of the cursor is very easy to adjust to your liking. I have been using Evoluent vertical mice for years. My usb wired mouse, 10 years old and heavily used, started behaving erratically at times providing me with the perfect excuse to get a new wireless bluetooth mouse. The ergonomics on this one are improved. I like the new lower thumb rest and the little ledge on the bottom right – both are small but important improvements in making the mouse more comfortable. I don't think this mouse looks or feels cheap at all.Don't know about the battery life yet as I just got it today. What then are the cons? I might say in advance that these are all in the main minor nits. Well, one nit is the packaging – there is way too much of it. It looks great but it is very unnecessary although easy to open. What's up with the cloth that comes with it? Not sure what I am supposed to do with it because basically there are no instructions provided with it or with the mouse. Instructions for how to download drivers (not necessary to operate the mouse) listed as being in the package are not in the package. I was not sure I had turned it on with the very small button on the underside of the mouse but then I saw a flashing red light near the thumb rest. No instructions for how to turn the bluetooth on and pair the device but fortunately it is pretty intuitive if you have done bluetooth before and it is a MAC mouse after all. Most of what is on the packaging is about how great Evoluent vertical mice are and how much you are gonna love it in French (I think) and English. The instructions on the battery door say to use a lithium battery but an ordinary alkaline battery is provided in the package. The Amazon price, $109.95 at the time – about what you will pay at the apple store with shipping, is no bargain but if you have prime you get in two days rather than a week and you have Amazon's generous return policy if you don't like it. So far I love it, am very glad I bought it, and i think it is well worth the money. July 25th 2015 – I changed the lithium battery for the first time today after about 5 weeks of full time operation. Pretty good for one battery I guess. It looks like I will be using 10 or so AA lithium batteries per year. I still love the mouse. Read more

Evoluent mice are the best on the marker for pure ergonomics. Full stop. As others have mentioned, the 90 degree design is the best at truly eliminating wrist pain and fatigue. It is unclear why no other manufacturer has implemented this design. It's unfortunate that they haven't because Evoluent products are massively over priced and if not for the true ergonomic benefits there is no way I or anyone else would buy them. These mice probably cost $5 to make, and they sell them for over $100. Insanity. Their software is also a travesty. It does not work on Mac (thankfully the Bluetooth model works find on its own, you just can't reprogram the buttons) and they blame Apple for not giving them a driver development kit. Funny how no one else has this problem. Overall, I hate that I like this mouse as much as I do because I do not like supporting companies that over charge and offer poor software compatibility. Some other reviews mention that the tracking is imprecise. I can't say that I've noticed that, but this certainly wouldn't be a mouse to use for gaming or anything that requires absolute perfect precision. Read more

I like the mouse - however the one I received had problems staying connected to my Mac. After discussions with product support, they realized that my mouse was 2 years old. It was new, but had been manufactured some time ago. I returned it and they agreed it was defective and sent me a new one. This one was Bluetooth enabled, and the previous one had needed a wifi dongle. I am happy now, but the dealer should clear out their inventory. Read more

I used an evoluent vertical mouse years ago and loved it. That one broke (I dropped it too many times) and because of price I went back to a regular mouse. That regular mouse broke so I went looking for a vertical mouse again. I tried the Goldtouch KOV-GSV-RMW Semi-Vertical Mouse Wireless but there were two big problems. 1) The buttons were difficult to press so I had hand strain every time I pushed a button (e.g. all day long). 2) The pointer, no matter the dpi setting, was not precise so it took a lot more effort to grab and drag something or precisely click on an item. I returned the Goldtouch and got this evoluent. I immediately could see a big difference. The buttons are so easy to press, there is no hand strain. I really like the 90 degree angle of this mouse (vs the 66% angle of the goldtouch), that alone created a lot less hand stress for the evoluent than the goldtouch. The pointer precision is too much better (with the default dpi setting). My hand stays in one place without moving my entire hand and able to reach anywhere in on my entire 27" screen. I have read the reviews that said the bluetooth mouse is not able to use the default evoluent program that programs all the keys. I never used that before so I am not concerned about that. If I find I want to program the keys differently I can use the third party software that is free. Read more

I love this mouse with one minor exception (which isn't the brand's fault). The design makes it much easier to relax your wrist. I can attest that it completely resolved a growing problem I had with twisting my arm around all day to accommodate most mouses. This one resolved that problem completely. No pain at all any longer, and prior it was almost more than I could bare. I even took time off work! That said, it *is* slightly harder to do detailed work with this device. I'm not sure if it's a resolution issue with its optical reader or whatever, but precise control is much more difficult for me. Your results may vary–it's possible this just isn't built for that or that it's just my own issue–and this caveat should NOT be a deal-killer for those looking to relieve pain associated with the use of standard mouses. Still, this is an excellent replacement mouse for those who are experiencing wrist pain. Saved me, so THANK YOU. Read more
