I got these boots today and I tried them on. Perfect fit I am a size 6 usa. They are made extremely well. They have a nice weight to them, not to heavy and not to light. These are rain boots or styled liked a mucking around boot, in mud and wet grass water etc. I think they will hold up for a long while. I can wear them with a thin cotton sock or heavier cotton or wool sock. Very nice and have a decorative buckle on the sized. I got them in black. they look like you could wipe them down when done wearing them. They fit comfortably nice arch support and foot protection and have a nice insole. Not lined like a snow boot but with a sock would be warm. For those rain days that you don't want to wear your snow boots or nice dress up boots, or if you have to go slop the pigs these would be great. Read more

I love the look and comfort of these boots. For sizing help - I usually wear an 8 1/2. Since these only come in whole sizes, I ordered a size 9. The boot was really, really big! Even with heavy socks on. I then ordered a size 8 and it fit like a dream. Read more

Although their sizing chart shows clearly 40 EU for US size 9, and this is what I ordered, I was sent 39 EU. First time I sent them back and reordered assuming a mistake was made, the second time I decided to try them. They fit fine. I'm assuming the error was in the sizing chart. This is my third or fourth pair of these boots and I just love them. They're not clunky, so I can wear them comfortably all day long. They slide on and off easily. They fit well and are comfortable. My only issue is that they wrap them in dark green tissue paper and the color bled onto the boots. I'm going to get them dirty anyways, but if you want nice, clean looking boots these might not be it. Read more

I usually wear a 7 1/2 wide shoe. After reading reviews of this boot, I ordered a size 8, in matte black. When I first put them on, the comfort seemed fine. Since I anticipate wearing them in situations where I have to walk or stand a lot, I then pulled the inserts out of another pair of boots and dropped them in these on top of the existing insole (nothing major, just one of those 1/8 inch thick cut-to-fit gel inserts that are $10 for 2 pair at the local superstore) to make them even cushier. But as I wore them around in the house for a while, a couple things began to bother me. First, they started to feel just a touch narrow around the top & side of the ball of my feet. Not enough to really HURT, but enough that I thought it would probably annoy me if I wore them for long stretches. Second, although I have a wide foot, I don't have a wide calf, so there was a pretty big gap at the top of the boot. I've already packed them to send back now, but I'd say maybe enough to fit my fist into? The opening of the boot rests in an oval shape (tall front to back, narrower side to side), and since thick rubber is such a stiff substance, this meant that with every step I took, the boot would shift from pressing up against the back of my leg to pressing up against the front of my leg, with the sides lightly rubbing along the side of my leg as they went back and forth. And although there was nothing particularly sharp or uneven around the top of the boot, that sliding action with Every. Single Step. began to get rather annoying. Finally, standing in front of the mirror, I also decided I wasn't terribly happy with the height of the boot from a visual standpoint. This may have been because in solid black with a little decorative buckle at the side, it reads as a "regular" boot. I might have felt differently if I had gotten one of the brighter colors that would read more as a "rain boot" (like in those nostalgic images of kids or young women with raincoats & umbrellas frolicking and splashing in puddles). Three strikes and the boot was out! I decided to try some taller boots instead. This company makes the exact same boot in a taller version that has about the same size opening, but hits closer to the widest part of my calf, and that's the one I ended up deciding to keep. No other boots I looked at or tried on quite fit all my criteria either, and I ended up deciding that for the price I could live with that tiny bit of squeeze around my toes, which only seems to be an issue later in the day anyhow.
