Update, the problem with discovering the plugs was an Alexa problem, not with the plugs. Changing my rating to five stars they work great. I purchased the four pack and used two of them right away upon receipt with no problem. 2 months later I tried to use the other two and they can't be discovered by alexa. Even plugged in right beside the echo they are not found. The listing says for any problems contact us through Amazon or by email, but I see no way to do either. Read more

These devices work for a month or so, and then quit working Alexa can’t find the device. It’s unresponsive deleted them and reestablish them and still no response from the device. I guess they’re one more item in the trashcan now. Read more

I bought these plugs to control a couple lights by my Alexa echo dot. The idea of this product is wonderful however more often than not, the plugs say “device is unresponsive”. Alexa will try to turn the plus on, but cannot so I have to get up and manually push the button on the side of the plug to turn on the device making it entirely pointless. If I have to get up anyway, I’ll just go back to turning on and off our lights myself. Waste of money. Read more

My mother is wheelchair-bound in assisted living and would like to be able to turn on and off a pole lamp by voice. She can now do this via this device! I had ordered another product from KMC. It required me to download an app from another country and it could not connect. I returned that product and ordered this one. It connected like a charm and now my mother can ask Alexa to turn on and off the light. I had an extra device and quickly installed it at my daughter's house. I got one of the four plugs up and running just as easily as stated on the package. Plug it in and ask Alexa to discover devices. It worked fine. Then I installed a second one, and that is when the trouble started. Suddenly the first plug wouldn't come on and Alexa kept telling me it was a power or wifi problem. The second plug worked. After a little tinkering I got them both working - most of the time. I had to rescan several times to get them both working. Then the fatal error. I tried installing a third and forget it. I couldn't make Alexa recognized any but the second plug I'd installed and it called two of them by the same name, so nothing worked. I had messed with it so much and for so long, I could no longer return them, so I guess I'll take them home where I have a single Echo and no dots - unless my Echo is too old to handle smart plugs. Anyway, I scrapped the whole project after a month and a half of trying and finding no help online, and bout a set of "old fashioned" remote control plugs from BN Link, which work beautifully! I suspect Echo dots are designed to play favorites with amazon smart devices, but I've read reviews of other brands that aver that the 3rd parties work great with Alexa. All I know is I'm done trying to use not-so-smart plugs until someone comes up with a set that will work together reliably without the user needing a PhD in IoT technologies. Read more

I've had smart plugs for years. I have a extra set for Christmas Lights. I tell Alexa to turn on Christmas Lights and 6 plugs go active throughout the house. I've used other brands which need to be joined to my WIFI network in diferent and difficult ways. This year I bought 8 of these. They are OUTSTANDINGLY EASY to join the network and get added to a group adn routine. Read more

These plugs are awesome. Super easy to connect to Alexa, and even easier to manage on the Alexa app! I started with one to try and now I need one for everything. I got this for the lamp in my living room. I love that I can set a timer, and set a schedule.
