Genuinely was astonished by how simple yet awesome these shells are! The glossy coat on them feels better than the standard shell in my opinion, and I also think the circular button that replaced the PlayStation button is better as well! Installation was incredibly easy if you've opened and tinkered with your controller previously, as you just swap the front shell and the touchpad. Make sure when swapping your touchpad you have a heat gun or hair dryer to warm up the plate. TIP: For me, the screws included were really bad and made the controller loose, especially with the touchpad itself. I only used the included screws on the modified touchpad and for the rest I used the original screws. Overall I 100% recommend getting one of these if you want to change the style and feel of your controller, 10/10! Read more

Honestly, I didn’t read the reviews or instructions before buying this, so I thought it would be a simple snap-off, snap-on situation. Not the case. The design is great and the face plate itself looks AWESOME once it’s on, but the installation process is very detailed. You’ll need to take apart the entire controller and will need a heat gun or at least a hair dryer to safely remove and transfer the chip, which wasn’t something I expected going in. The media could not be loaded. Installed everything correctly. BUT the start button, and the share button are very hard to push down instead of them sticking out there at the same level as the Lunar Case, the trackpad does not work anymore when you try to move your finger across it to move the cursor or on Grandtheft auto five to change the radio station. I think because I got a new face plate and an old back plate. They are not compatible and that’s why I have a gap at the bottom and the start and share button will not work unless u push the faceplate in Read more

It’s always great to customize, and redesign a piece of hardware in your home! But in this case, I cannot say it’s worth it! Having put $27 on this kit, I would’ve hoped for something a bit more comfortable to work with! A few critical components ended up dislodged/out of proportion, causing this whole project to end up a steaming hot mess!
