I used this on an area rug after cleaning it, and on shoes with woven cotton uppers. It works great! I spilled coffee on the rug and it did not sink in - instead I was able to just wipe it up with a towel and there was no stain left behind. Same thing with my shoes. The bottles were packaged well to protect them from damage and leaking during shipping. This set includes 2 bottles of liquid fabric protector spray; these are large bottles. The size of one bottle is 25.4 ounces and the size of the other is a larger 84.5 ounce bottle. The 25.4 ounce bottle has a spray nozzle for using and the other bottle for using to refill the spray bottle. This large size of these bottles of fabric protectant spray are enough for covering several large surfaces. The liquid fabric protector spray has absolutely no smell. It is a clear liquid. This product is ecofriendly and non-toxic. This product can be used for protecting from stains and for water proofing materials. It is safe for use on upholstery, carpet, and clothing. The product is easy to use. Use the spray bottle to apply. Shake the bottle prior to using. The spray nozzle works well and is easy to use. I did a test patch in a small area, as recommended. There was no color change or noticeable issue, so I applied to the entire sofa. I used this for two sofas and a chair and I still have a lot of the fabric protectant spray remaining. It did take several hours to completely dry. I am pleased with the stain guard results so far. I have animals and boys, so this product will be put to the test. It does recommend testing this on a small area prior to using on the entire surface to be protected. It suggests applying one to two coats depending on thickness of material. Dry time for setting is 12 to 24 hours. This seems to be good quality fabric protectant and has worked well for me on my furniture. It is easy to use. It is versatile and can be used for a number of projects to protect and to waterproof upholstery, carpet, and clothing. The large amount that is provided can be used on a lot of projects. Although this is on the pricey side, it works as intended. It has help fight against the elements.... thrown to furniture mostly by kids. Buying new furniture is expensive. Buying an upholstery cleaning machine is expensive. having this to spray every-now-and-then, beats the other two options for me. No funky smells, no nonsense stickiness being felt in the fabric. You may use sprayer to make it easier to spread around but out of the box this works well. Read more

I was really looking forward to protectME arriving, and it did not disappoint. This Fabric Protector Spray was odorless and had no leaking upon arrival, which was a great start. I have two dogs and needed to waterproof my couch, and protectME worked perfectly. I even accidentally spilled a glass of soda on it the very next day and it held up great. I also love that it’s non-toxic, both for my dogs and anyone else who comes in contact with it. Since I have a darker-colored couch, I wasn’t concerned about doing a spot test first. I tried this on my couch that gets heavy use from toddlers (family of 4) and I honestly didn't notice a huge difference across the whole couch. I followed the instructions and did a water test after applying but found that after a week the water started to sink into the fibers of the couch again (after bouncing off during the initial test done after it dried). I really wanted to love it, I will give it some stars because it did initially work but maybe it just was not good for my couch fabric type. Bonus star though for being non toxic! Read more
