WOW! I am in love with this stunningly gorgeous Royal Blue crochet sweater by Fairy Season! The color is rich and saturated and has the sweetest bit of sparkle to it. The craftsmanship is impeccable. No loose threads or wonky stitches. It is elegant and feminine. For reference, I am 5'1, 120lbs, 32 B/C, and normally wear a petite 4 or small. I got a size small, and the fit was perfect. I really like the flattering cropped length that hits right about or just below the waist. The buttons look high-end, are pearlescent, and really pretty. The crochet work is finely done. The scalloping stitch-work on the edge of the sleeves adds a really pretty touch. This cardigan can be worn buttoned up over a nude bra or camisole, as I did in some of my pictures. For a sexy look you could put it over a black bra. Paired with black slacks or a black satin skirt it would be sexy yet elegant. My other pics show it open with just the top buttoned and over a matching satin camisole. It looks a bit more casual that way but still high-end. It would also be gorgeous over a black dress. The style lends itself to lots of options! The price-point is on the high end at $89.99 (minus a 10% coupon currently), but I feel it is a luxury that is well worth it. I missed that bit of information when I was considering ordering this open weave cardigan. While I do like it, I feel that it's significantly overpriced. Nonetheless, I suppose that someone who considers this cardigan to be listed at a fair price point is probably someone who'd automatically dry clean an article like this. Regardless, I'm on the fence as to whether or not I can recommend this elegant, vintage-inspired cardigan. (Due to their size guide, it's price, and it requiring dry cleaning.) I suppose that some people wouldn't consider any of the 3 to be an issue. If you fall into that group, you'll probably love this cardigan. If you happen to fall into the category that would have an issue with the 3, then you may want to skip this cardigan. This is definitely a 5 star cardigan for this season !! It's an openwork crochet cardigan with a shiny thread woven in. The yarn is a cotton/wool combo, the wool will give it a little warmth for the winter. This is a good choice for a night out with loved ones, it's too nice for the office !! I ordered my usual size and it fits perfectly, not too tight and not too big. The openness of the knit is really special, you can wear it as shown, or over a blouse of your choosing !! It's just right for this seasons "naked dressing" trend. The sleeves are long enough and have a delicate flare at the end. The buttons are an imitation pearl surrounded by silver colored plastic, there is a spare button included just in case. As a knitter, I can appreciate the extra time it took in manufacturing to have increases in the knit of the body to insure the transition to the sleeves of the sweater look smooth. It's a beautiful sweater for the price!! You pay a little extra to have wool included in the cotton yarn. The fabric is delicate so watch for snags on jewelry, I would personally wear pearls with this to decrease the likelihood of that happening. The fabric care tag is a little difficult to decipher... I think it means this has to be dry cleaned, but I would verify with the manufacturer just to be sure. The sweater itself comes in a very expensive looking presentation bag with a satin ribbon tie.
