I wanted to wait a while to share a review to give the cream a true test—at this time I've been using Faith & Grace's wild yam cream for three months. I just finished my first jar exactly at the 3-month mark to give you an idea of how long a jar lasts. I'm nearly 54 and had been suffering for the past few years of horrible hot flashes, night sweats, brain fog, poor sleep due to so many night sweats each night, and probably a host of other things related to menopause. I just didn't want to start some hormonal treatment and when I heard Barbara O'Neill mention "wild yam cream" as a help to those with menopause, I was super skeptical of another scammy product that never delivers. But reading the reviews here for Faith & Grace, I couldn't believe how it was helping women my age with hot flashes and night sweats! I thought it was worth a shot because I was so miserable. I will say that it took me nearly 2.5 months before I really saw any change at all. A friend who is nine years younger and likely in perimenopause saw results almost immediately in fewer hot flashes, better sleep, better mood, and less inflammation. But for me I just didn't notice much of anything for quite a while—my levels were probably much more depleted given the severity of my symptoms. I want to encourage others in menopause to stick with it for several months because all of a sudden, my hot flashes seemed to almost be gone entirely and those that I had were with far less severity. Within another week, I had nearly zero hot flashes or night sweats and started getting quality sleep for the first time in a very long time. I am so deeply thankful for this cream!!! It's gives you your quality of life back! My only slight dislikes about this cream is that it is sort of greasy (although good ingredients) and it doesn't have a highly pleasant smell (but totally tolerable to me and something I hardly think about at this point—it dissipates quickly). The thing is: it works!!! I will tolerate greasy and the scent for something that's safe and actually works for me! The wild yam cream helps your body to produce its own progesterone, but the cream also includes some other ingredients that help promote a balanced estrogen production. Nothing massive, but seems to be balancing out my depleted system. I saw some new menopause drug advertised on the news tonight that's $625/mo and has side effects. It isn't purported to do anything more than what this cream actually does. No thanks! This cream has high-quality ingredients and a concentration level of wild yam that makes a difference. Many other brands I scoured the reviews for didn't seem to have the success rate. I also tried Moonmaid brand for about three days because it smells nicer and absorbs immediately, but my hot flashes came back each day I used it and when I went back to Faith & Grace, the hot flashes left. (The same thing happened to my friend when she tried Moonmaid. Perhaps one has to use more MM than F&G to get the same benefit.) I will stick with Faith & Grace and recommend it. I found that my body more quickly absorbs the F&G if I apply it to bare skin (no other lotions) right after a shower when my skin is still warm—I apply it to my belly or chest or wrists. If you have hot flashes or night sweats and other menopausal symptoms, run to get a jar of this stuff! (If you are already taking some treatment, you might ask your doctor so you aren't getting too much of something.) This is a little miracle in a 2oz glass jar!! Read more

I am a 49 year old woman that was dealing with some serious menopause symptoms. I was so tired of the sleepless nights tossing and turning with night sweats followed by hot flashes all day long. I read about the benefits of wild yam cream and gave it a try. At first I used the NOW brand. It helped reduce my hot flashes by 70%, but it was super messy. It was a cream and way too much came out. It was so hard to rub in. And after several months, it quit working, and the hot flashes came back. I found Faith and Grace Wild Yam cream here on Amazon and thought I'd give it a try. To my absolute surprise it worked so well. One peas size dab, instead of a hug glop like the NOW brand, 2 times a day and my hot flashes have been completely banished! I sleep all night long now...no more night sweats. I do not take anything else for my menopause symptoms. I just use this cream and it works phenomenally well. The consistency is like coconut oil when it solidifies (or beef tallow if you are familiar with that). It rubs completely into the skin very quickly. It has a delicate, pleasant odor that quickly disappears. This cream is an amazing value. One jar is going to last a long time. I estimate one jar to last 10 months to a year, making it a fantastic value. I am so pleased with the wild yam cream that I share the name and link with all of my friends. I will continue to purchase it. Read more

I really like this cream. It's oil based so it's firm in the jar and softens/melts into your skin with the heat of your body. I've been using it for roughly a month now and I noticed a difference in the first couple of days. I am very sensitive to my body's natural fluctuations. So when I started having insomnia, headaches, low libido, and increased anxiety, I went to my OBGYN NP. She recommended wild yam cream in lew of hormonal therapy. I previously tried another brand and received a product that had gone rancid, ew. So I was worried about trying again and being let down. However this cream did not disappoint! It's not super greasy and easily absorbs into my skin. It feels pretty lightweight once it's on and it's been very easy to apply to the various areas. The directions are on the jar, which I found helpful for placement of the cream. The jar itself is very sturdy, it's glass but it's strong and thick. The lid also tightens nicely, keeping air out and helping my product last longer. Overall this is a great value and I will be sticking with this brand for my wild yam cream! Read more

Great as an intensive moisturizer in the area. No real strong smell...very faint. Not really helping with my menopause symptoms but that is such a unique to person thing. It's worth a try for the price before trying more and expensive therapies. Read more

This has really regulated my perimenopause hormones. The hot-flashes remain at bay as long as I use it regularly and follow the monthly rhythm. The packaging is well done and makes you feel like a friend sent you a gift in the mail. I've ordered this item 4 times and it's been consistently well done every time. Read more
