A good replacement option if you are ditching old less efficient fixtures.
I installed a LED 2 pack, I have no experience and this install took me 3 hours I used the same wiring and switches as the units I replaced, no issues electrical issues. The installation was in a standard residential garage. It was pretty straight forward and the installed unit provides ample light with no flicker and compared to overhead 4 ft florescent tube lights its at least twice as bright and it's a very white light. These are an upgrade. The metal used as the frame for the fixture is lightweight and the plastic lense cover is flimsy, durability may be an issue in a mechanical garage, seems ok for residential applicaiton. Let's shine some light on the subject.
After placing many upgrades in our rental i decided to enhance the garage too. These led light fixtures are amazing and pleasing to the eye. The garage is a standard two car & i used two of these 8 footers which illuminated the area well. I found myself pretending i was a prospective tenant & kept hitting the wall switch to experience the flood of light. The low profile two tone design gives the fixture a modern look. Easy install, updated look
Love these lights. I bought two 8’ to replace old 4’ garage lights, and wow what a difference. Got tired of buying expensive bulbs. Father-in-law came by and saw them and he ordered five 4’ for his garage and laundry room. One person could probably install the 4’ lights but two people make it much easier. I think definitely two person install on the 8’ just due to the length. Weight is no issue because they are extremely light. Love the look. Time will tell on durability & efficiency.
