The gusset is wide so everything is covered, which I especially find important in the summer when my daughter wears shorts or dresses. We have ordered so many packs of these and keep coming back for more. They are comfortable, durable, and very cute. I hate the thin elastic that comes on so many brands of girl's underwear. I specifically chose these because of the thick covered waist band, and my girls love them. They hold up well, we have only ordered more when they've been outgrown, not worn out.
