I’m 5’9 and 150lbs. I’m a size 6-8. I usually vary between small and medium. I ordered the small and it fit tight and the length was shorter bc it fit tighter? I don’t know how that happens but when I tried the medium it fit loose like a sundress, the length was great, and it was flattering and cute. I suggest going up in size for the length if you are tall- because the small fit like capris, the medium came a little longer due to it fitting looser, resulting in the pants to stop at my ankle. I wore it to Mexico in July, and it was breathable, not to hot, and I received compliments on compliments! 10/10 recommend buying it. One disclosure it shrinks like crazy if you put it in the dryer! So I have mixed feelings about this two piece set. First off, for details, I am 5'4" , 44-29-45, and usually wear a sz 12-14 pant. I ordered the xl in pink So this is a cotton polyester blend, not 100% cotton. However I actually really enjoyed the material. It's a little bit rougher, but very flowy. It will need to be steamed or ironed if you choose to keep the set, and my guess is it will wrinkle easily. The color for the pink is actually more of a light peach than a baby pink as pictured. For that reason and that the top had a small stain on it, I'm returning the item. The fit was pretty good. The extra large I actually felt was too large for my frame. The pants had ample room on the waistline and thigh, and I have thick thighs. The top fitwell, I could have gone a size smaller, but I also have a 36g chest. I would not recommend the Excel top for anyone who doesn't have a chest, unless they want to alter it. The length of the pants was perfect for me. I would not wear heels with it, the pants may be short on taller individuals. I absolutely loved the style, it was effortlessly chic. I am returning the XL pink and ordered the L red burgundy color. I'm really hoping that this second purchase will be exactly what I'm looking for! *** UPDATE*** So I reordered the Burgundy in the Large, the difference between the large and XL sizing is huge. I may happen to be am in between size, so I sent that back.... Flash forward to aweek or so ago. I have still been thinking about this set. I decide that i woud try again with a XL in the green, (As an FYI, I have lost weight since my original review) and to m surprise the top is too short. Was really excited to receive this two piece outfit…more so for the bottoms as I was looking for something to put on over a bathing suit at the beach for an upcoming trip. The package arrived and I tired it on immediately because I didn’t have much time before we left to return (medium) and repurchase (large). The fit on the top was as expected…just as the other reviews noted…very low cut, etc. Wasn’t planning on wearing the top but tried it on nonetheless. The bottoms fit perfectly and looked great…perfect color, good length and slit was not noticeable while standing but had a nice flow when walking…loved them! It wasn’t until I put the bottoms on while on my trip when my boyfriend noticed a spot on the back of the pants that he thought was something that had leaked or spilled on them in transit. I checked in the mirror and sure enough, there was something right across the middle of my butt, almost low enough to not be noticed. It was lighter than the rest of the pants and looked as if something (liquid) had bleached them by a shade or two. I checked my bag and other garments but there was nothing that could have leaked or spilled…all of my toiletries were carried on in a separate bag and no other garments were ruined so I believe the pants came this way. Very disappointed but thought maybe I could salvage them. Wore them that day after spot cleaning, hoping no one would notice, and then washed them when I returned home to see if the spot would come out. Unfortunately, they still had the lighter spot on the back side. Totally bummed as I would have definitely worn these again…glad they’re weren’t very expensive. If you do purchase this set, be sure to inspect both pieces closely…they come very wrinkled and it might be difficult to see a spot like this if you’re rushing or mainly concerned with overall fit before you pack or wear them. They’ve been worn and washed so they can’t be returned at this point…wish I had looked more closely at their condition upon receipt…would have had time to replace and use more than just a few hours…very disappointed… Read more
