I think these boots are both functional & pretty! Quite frankly, I didn't expect that these would be that great because of the pricepoint. I'm very glad that these greatly exceeded my expectations. As far as the construction, these appear to better than others in this price range. The color is rich and appears to be steadfast - obviously, I haven't been out in the rain with them yet. The size seems to run true, which is a rarity these days. The embroidery and studs add an extra layer to the beauty already present. The heel and sole both have a good rubber piece on them for comfort & safety from slipping. There is one item though, that is both concerning & confusing. In the "top highlights" section, one area states: "Outer material Faux Leather". This is also stated in the product specifications. However, in the product description, one of the bullets state "...Each pair of our women's cowboy knee-high boots is made from premium leather that is soft to the touch, durable, and handcrafted with attention to detail...". Can you see where the confusion, and concern come from? So I guess the logical question that should be asked is: Is the leather in these boots real (actually comes from tanned cowhide) or faux (comes from some of those elusive Nauga-hydes 😎😎). I'm no expert in this area, so it would be wrong for me to opine, one way or another. I would suggest to this seller to go through this listing and fix this so it isn't so confusing. I have to admit however, that whatever type of leather this is, the feel of it does actually resemble real leather. If its faux, it is a very convincing form of faux leather. When I first inspected this item, I did NOT find any left over manufacturing process substances such as unclipped thread, poorly set studs, blemishes or other defects that would make these unacceptable. At this price point, (~$60), if the leather is actually real, this would be a very good deal; however, if the leather is faux, this would be an okay deal. A quick search shows (with faux leather) similar items costing between ~$40 - 70. Would I order this again? Maybe, I believe it would come down to whether the outer leather is real or faux. I absolutely love these boots! I’ve always had thick legs and thicker calves, but these boots go up my calves and are not tight around them at all. The material is super soft and flexible, and they are extremely comfortable to wear. I took them on a trip to Chicago, and walked around downtown with no problem. These are super cute and trendy boots! They are true to size and fit really well. The heel height is perfect for someone who doesn't wear shoes with a heel often, I can still walk with ease! The boots are also incredibly comfortable. They have nice padding in the sole and feel sturdy. I don't experience much, if any, discomfort when wearing them. They are easy to pull on or take off, and the shaft comes up to a few inches under my knee (for reference, I'm fairly short at 5'2", so my legs aren't very long).
