With four girls in our household, we do our own nails all the time, and this product has become a total must-have. Keeping nails healthy is so important, especially when you’re regularly doing gel manicures at home. Before we started using this, one of my daughters tried pulling her gel polish off (lesson learned 😣), and her nails were sore and damaged for weeks. After that experience, we promised ourselves we would never remove gel without this product again. I love that it’s acetone-free and much gentler on natural nails. It works fast — usually within 3–5 minutes — and there’s no soaking, wrapping, or mess. You just remove the top coat, apply it, and the gel lifts right off. It makes at-home gel removal so much safer and easier. Since using this, our nails stay strong and healthy, and removal is pain-free. If you do gel nails at home, especially with teens, this is something I truly recommend. We won’t ever be without it again. Read more

This product surprised me from the first use. It is fast, practical and does not mistreat the nails. In just a few minutes it softens the gel and allows it to be removed effortlessly, without the need to soak in acetone or use aluminum foil. The included tools are excellent: comfortable, resistant and perfect for lifting the enamel with precision. In addition, the smell of the product is not strong like other removers, which is very much appreciated. Read more

This does take off gel nail polish, but you have to polish it over and over and over. It is not a one coat and done process. It does work in record time though with each round of polish, taking off some of the gel polish in minutes. Read more

I'm pleasantly surprised; I have tried a few of these and they all work about the same. This one does work a bit better. This product is for DIYers who have caught on that acetone is not safe for your nails and skin like our former nail techs told us. Acetone dehydrates keratin. Our nails are made mostly of keratin and they need to retain moisture to be healthy. Acetone dries out your skin, so it robs the moisture from your cuticle. That moisture is supposed to be used to hydrate your nail bed and keep it healthy. Acetone destroys natural nails and nearly anything else it touches. This remover is made up of chemicals, and you don't want it to touch your skin AT ALL. The difference is these chemicals don't damage keratin and you're not going to let it touch your skin--there's an easy trick to that. Truly, this is the healthier way to remove soft gel. What you need: (see first photo) A 100/180 grit file (included with this purchase) A double ended stainless steel cuticle pusher (included with this purchase) Liquid Latex or "Elmers type" glue (not included) A nail brush Select-a-size paper towels are a huge help Hand soap Start by taking the 100 grit (the most coarse) side of the file and file off the top coat from your nails. Next, don't skip the liquid latex! You must protect your skin!! This remover has not harmed my nails at all, but burns like fire if you get it on your skin. I received a bottle of liquid latex with another remover I tried. When it was empty I mixed Elmers glue and water and refilled it. You can actually use cheap latex glue full strength with a little paint brush. it doesn't have to be dilutes and is also great if you struggle to keep polish off your skin while doing your mani. Doesn't have to be Elmers; dollar store stuff is fine. Paint it all the way around your nail bed including your finger tip under the free edge. Don't worry if a little gets on your nail. Just make sure you coat your skin. Paint this remover over the entire nail bed where you have gel. Wait 5 minutes Use the stainless steel cuticle pusher to scrape off the gel. I was surprised that this one started degrading the polish immediately. You can see a little of the polish on the brush. After 5 minutes it came off very easily. You need to do a second coat to be sure you get all of your base coat off. Sun light will help you see if you still have base on your nail bed. If you adopt this removal method into your routine, you'll find that if you do thin coats of base, color, and top, this takes it off quickly and thoroughly without much work. I wear soft gel overlay so I typically have to do a 3rd coat and use a 200/220 grit sponge to get every bit of it off, but if you do a standard gel mani, 2 coats should get it all off unless you put it on really thick. After using the cuticle pusher on second coat of remover, take a wet paper towel and clean all five nails. If you don't need a 3rd coat, peel off most of the latex from around your nail bed, then use a nail brush and some hand soap to clean your nails really well. If you still have small traces of gel, you can use the 180 side of the file or a 200 grit sponge to gently file that off. You don't want to use the 100 grit on your bare nail bed. This typically takes me about 20 minutes per hand, so it is not faster than acetone. I am completely against using acetone on my nails so I don't mine if I have to spend a little more time. Acetone is so corrosive, and it's thin so it drips and ruins cloths, etc. The vapor is toxic. Just say no to acetone. If you have gotten hard gel aka gel overlay at a salon, this will not take it off. It has to be filed off. And if your nail tech told you it was protecting your natural nails, that was a lie, too. It dries so hard it makes your nails indestructible when you have it on and that was a great thing for me but when you take it all off your natural nails are not healthy. They are dry from the chemicals and the inability for your cuticles to penetrate the gel and moisturize your nails. Apres makes a soft gel overlay. It is not as tough as hard gel, but it's pretty tough and this remover takes it off. I will definitely buy this remover again and highly recommend it as a great alternative to acetone. Read more
