Fewer pills to keep track of is always a plus for me. These came as 120 softgels in a sealed pouch instead of a bottle, which I actually didn’t mind. The pouch has a resealable zip top, and there was a silica gel packet inside to keep everything dry. The softgels themselves are small, smooth, and tapered, so they’re easy for me to swallow without any effort. They’re a shiny dark burgundy color and just look clean and well made when you open the bag. Each softgel contains 12 mg of astaxanthin, so only one is needed per day. The ingredient list is refreshingly short: astaxanthin, sunflower seed oil, gelatin, and purified water. They’re labeled non GMO, soy free, and gluten free. The package says the astaxanthin is sourced from fresh microalgae and are made in China. I always check dates on supplements, and these looked good. The manufacture date was only a couple of months before I received them, and the expiration date is close to three years out from the date they were made. That gives plenty of time to use the full four month supply without feeling rushed. There’s no noticeable smell or taste when taking them, and I didn’t notice any aftertaste either. I was lucky to have found out about this supplement. Especially right when I did. Astaxanthin is red carotenoid found in microalgae. It's what makes shrimp and salmon it's color. This is used to fight free radicals, it helps with oxidative stress and has a number of benefits for the skin, eyes and muscle recovery. When I found about this supplement I was also learning about Spermidine which when paired with this supplement it becomes a power house for anti aging benefits, combats oxidative stress and fights free radicals. I've been taking the 2 together in place of my typical HGH protocols. As finding trusted and affordable sources for HGH is becoming harder these days. I can't say enough about the clarity I have since taking these. My brain fog had lifted and I feel so much better. My skin looks so much better and I have energy I have been lacking for some months now. I say this supplement is certainly worth a shot. It works from he inside out. I started seeing nothicable improvement in my skin after 2 or 3 days. Then my energy and mental state improved by the end of the first week.
