As a woman I'm new to soldering. I have a few diy projects to knock out and just kept fumbling around with corded solders at my disposal. They are big compared to my fem hands plus the cordage is annoying I was constantly worried one of my dogs would catch the cord right as i used the solderer. I turned to Amazon to see if there were and cordless solderers out there worth a flip and came across this one. Only down sided are I wish it came with the paste and a little bit of the soldering metal/ string (dunno what its called but the stuff you use to melt things together). This was a gift to myself and i sure am happy i got it. There are so many different ways it can be used so for me its a handy multi purpose tool. I can etch images on a piece of leather, canvas or wood. I like making moccasins and will be adding designs using this soldering tool. I received it in great time, packaging was professional and intact. No missing items or damage to the product. The black box was sealed in clear plastic so no doubt it was new. Putting it together was a cinch. However, i was not very forceful when putting the tips in because i have a habit of damaging delicate items and i saw this tool as delicate. Well I learned there is a certain amount of force needed to properly place the tip in the tool and about three clicks that sound as an indication its seated correctly. First time placing the tip i tried turning it on and it just wouldn't stay on. I thought it was faulty as i had expected but I WAS WRONG. LOL i didn't have the tip seated in the tool properly and thank goodness it doesn't heat the tip if its not seated properly. I have two dogs and if the tip was hot one or both of my dogs would have been burned by a tip falling on to the floor a couple times. I watched a couple videos and learned i was not forceful enough in pushing the tips in and i surely didn't hear any clicking happening. The videos helped, I re-seated the tip, heard a few clicks and couldn't pull the tip out after screwing the tip back in and the tool finally stayed on because i seated the tip the way it was supposed to be. After about 3 seconds like a dodo i touched the tip and holy cow, HOT! It wasn't ready yet but holy cow it gets hot fast. THIS IS NOT A TOY! SO BE CAREFUL ... the solderer works and melts as its supposed to. It also etches designs on canvas, leather and wooden frames. I've always dreaded soldering things until I tried the Fanttik T1 Max!! I wish I had more projects lined up just to have an excuse to use this tool. Quality Product, packaging and the Battery lasts. No issues with charging via USB C or with power for the duration of use. Best tool I've bought in several years. I recomend and would buy again...if i break it. LOL Read more

Feels very well built. The tips included are small and a great size for soldering PCBs. I've soldered automotive wires for a decade and a half at this point, but my Snap-On butane soldering iron just wasn't going to work for soldering flight controller boards. I ended up accidentally melting a prop with the heat exhaust from the iron and bridge a pin with solder trying to use the smallest tip I had. So this little battery powered soldering iron is night and day. It charged pretty fast, heats much faster than a butane iron, the tips are micro sized and perfect for small work, and you can use it plugged in as well. It also has a built in work light, that's freaking awesome! For the price it can't be beat, and I really don't see the need for anything more than this tool provides Read more

I recently used this cordless iron for installing permanent outdoor Christmas lights, which required making small, precise solder joints while perched precariously at the top of a ladder. This is exactly the kind of "precarious situation" the T1 Max was born for. Performance Meets Portability The freedom of being truly cordless is the key benefit here. Maneuvering on a ladder requires both hands and zero obstacles, and the T1 Max delivered pure mobility. Beyond the lack of a tether, the performance itself was stunning. This iron heats up incredibly fast, meaning minimal downtime waiting for it to reach working temperature. The precision tip allowed for effortless, clean, and small soldering work, ensuring professional-grade joints even while working overhead. With the right choice of solder, the entire process was quick and surprisingly effortless, allowing me to finish the whole project well ahead of the holidays. If you are a hobbyist or DIYer looking for a professional-grade, fast-heating, and highly precise soldering iron that can operate in challenging locations—whether on a roof, under a car, or simply away from an outlet—look no further. This tool made a difficult project easy and brought joy to my entire household! Read more

The only actually good cordless soldering iron I can find, most generic cordless irons are really bad. The iron heats up pretty fast, the C210 tips are great quality. The iron is also smaller than I thought, with a 2600mah battery in it. Overall it's a good iron, not as powerful as a DC smart iron like pinecil or ts100, but for the flexibility it offers it's great. For the price it also gives you a few tips, a base and a suction pen, great value. A pinecil with a power bank is still more powerful, but for my application where I need to get to weird small places, this does the job. Read more

I've been doing electronics repair for a number of years now and I'm always on the lookout for a good quality soldering iron. I've seen the reviews of this iron and decided to give it a try. Let's just say I was pleasantly surprised. It's small enough to do intricate trace work but gets hot enough to solder connectors on thicker boards. The included tips mean I can switch between them as needed quickly and easily. The stand is very nice and holds the iron snuggly without making it hard to remove. The iron is able to do just as much as my more expensive irons and the battery actually lasts for a decent amount of time. I would have liked to see a longer cable and possibly a wall wart but since I have longer cables and lots of USB blocks I'm just nitpicking. For the money, I am extremely satisfied with this iron and it now has a permanent place in my work table. Read more
