I have had my share of microwaves from small to large, inexpensive to expensive. I find each of them to work differently and their cost does not guarantee a great product. I purchased this microwave on an incredibly good Amazon price to replace one I was using that lasted only 15 months. I treat my appliances very well. I unpacked this one and it's one of my favorites so far. It has handled anything I put in it....much better than some of the larger and more expensive ones I've had. Great purchase! Read more

Great price, yummy product, I love ordering groceries from Amazon! I add chopped peeled cucumber, diced tomatoes, and green onions. Cilantro in this would be very good. Read more

I purchased the 900 watt, stainless steel version of this Farberware microwave. Then, unfortunately, had to put it in storage for about 6 months. It stayed there in the box, untouched. It was kind of a dumb thing to do, but I had family emergencies and traveled a lot. Finally, I began using this a few months ago. It is a very good, reliable microwave. It looks nice. (I think the stainless steel version looks best out of all of them.) It heats food evenly. It heats water in no time at all! Also, it is so much quieter than my previous microwave. (Which did last 8 years, btw.) My only criticism of this Farberware microwave is the heating instructions. If it's a solid number like 3, 4, or 5 minutes, that's fine. I just push that button and it starts. But when cooking a frozen meal for 5 and a half minutes, I need to push "Time Cook" and then "0530." And I wish it was easier to find a "medium" setting. I just use the "Dinner Plate" setting. Anyway, I do like it overall. Pretty good for 100 bucks. I'm glad I purchased it and hope it lasts a few more years, at least! 4 stars! Read more

The Faberware seems to be well made, like my larger Panasonic that lasted over 20 years. After unboxing and during first use, the buttons were very hard to push to do anything. I had to use a pencil with an eraser to push hard. The next day I noticed that at the bottom of the number panel area, a small yellow plastic tab said something so I grabbed that and started to lift and peel off a thick film. The protective film is hard to see and has a strong adhesive layer. Once removed, the buttons are much easier to push ! One reviewer said the oven lasted 6 months, another reviewer said 1 year 5 months. Will try to update this review in August 2025. Update Nov. 2025 it still performs very well, no problems easy to use. I like that pressing 1 will give you 1 minute, 2 gives you 2 minutes, etc. If you want 1 min 30 sec, use the 0 button quick program feature. Read more

I needed a small microwave that would fit in an office credenza, and this one was just right! It's a little powerhouse that doesn't take up a lot of space. Read more

Bought this to replace my 15-year old, larger Sharp 1200-watt microwave. Sad to let it go, but it was rusting badly inside after all these years. Here are the pros and cons of this smaller Farberware microwave: The Pros: 1.) 900 watts of power is surprisingly sufficient. Getting used to the decreased wattage from 1200 to 900 has not been a big deal. 2.) I prefer the dark gray interior of this microwave. It is also easy to clean. 3.) A big positive of this microwave is that it is relatively QUIET (important to me.) The Cons: 1.) Not as many bells and whistles as my old Sharp. Lack of auto-reheat button options on this one. But really not a huge deal to me. I've gotten used to working with the button options it has and I've transitioned fine. 2.) Be aware of this microwave's compact size (both a positive and a negative.) It is fine for reheating regular size plates, bowls, and square casserole dishes, but it is too small to accommodate a rectangular glass dish. 3.) The keypads buttons on the Farberware oven are not as touch sensitive as I'd expect. You need to press a little harder on these buttons to make them work. I'm used to it now but in the beginning, I admit I was mildly annoyed. Overall, I'd say the positives outweigh the negatives relative to its bargain price. This microwave will suit your purpose decently, as long as you are just using your microwave for everyday smaller jobs. Read more

Has been an excellent microwave for the last 2 yrs of ownership. Small enough to be out of the way on the countertop and strong enough to warm up my soups. We don't use the microwave much, but when we do, it just works. Read more
