Inexpensive and durable. If you or someone you know is a new home owner or moving into a new spot, this is a perfect starter knife set. Easy to use and the set has everythingyou need to learn and improve your kitchen skills prior to getting an expensive set. I've had these for almost 3 years now. They're "decent" if you catch them on sale at $20. ONLY if you have the talent and means to resharpen them occasionally. They are fairly sharp when new but lose the edge quickly. "Razor" sharp? NO WAY! The cheap steel has a limit on how sharp they can be sharpened, and they don't hold the edge very long, before needing resharpened. The scissors are pretty cheap. The handles are hollow, so they have to be dried almost vertically, or you'll get water dripping when you put them in the block. A couple handles have dents, possibly from dishes being set on them in the sink? I have only recently started trying them in the dishwasher, so far, no issues. They're holding up ok, with no sign of rust or spotting. I gave my daughter my much old, much larger set of "decent" Farberwear knives when I ordered these. Wish I'd waited til they arrived, she would've gotten this new set. The block is solid and heavy. Read more

Garbage. I received these a week ago and 1 came with a rattle inside the handle but I was like, ok, whatever just 1 knife but also I see rust on a blade! It's advertised as stainless steel??? I'm not happy and I'm probably going to replace these in 6mo if they last that long. Read more
