I got several of this style of ceiling lamps and replaced the builder installed 13 inch frosted dome covers in our closets and mudroom. They significantly added to the brightness because the bulbs are exposed. The metal used is appropriate, and the lamp fit flush to the ceiling and is balanced. It came with the parts needed to install it regardless if there's a junction box or not. The wires are long enough and organized, and the ground wire is very flexible, which makes installation much easier than the old hard-to-bend copper wire. The sockets for the bulbs swivel, so it can accommodate different size bulbs, and two bulbs should be sufficient for most spaces. While we used these in enclosed spaces, they are attractive enough to install in bedrooms as well. The only potential negative I found is if the user wants the bulbs to be enclosed, they aren't. The style of this light is a great match for our kitchen table light we bought at Home Depot. The sweeping black bars that surround the light and the no glass enclosure are definitely a trend right now. We paired it with some of the Edison style amber colored LED bulbs. They give the fixture a vintage farmhouse look. Only 4 stars as I thought the wiring gauge used was a little small, though it should be fine as long as you don’t exceed the wattage rating on the bulbs.
