After trying several other trench coats this is by far the one! I always read reviews so I’ll try & be informative. First, the fit, (I’m 5’5 144lbs 39x31x39, hourglass shape, athletic build with broad shoulders). I ordered the M. Perfect fit with extra room for a chunky sweater. The item is lined and comes with a hood that snaps on & is not overly cumbersome. I have yet to wear it, however it feels light enough for a 70 degree rainy day, yet warm enough for “chill to the bone” rainy days too. In colder months layered properly that is, you’d be fine. Belt is perfect length, and after tied/buckled, the bottom fabric is still somewhat fitted & doesn’t flare out with a lot of extra fabric, like a bell (a problem I found with many other trenches). There is no slit in the back. It has nice structure all around without feeling constricted. The shoulders and under the armpits are roomy, even though I have broad shoulders, as mentioned. Color- I got the grey, elegant & quite beautiful. It’s not too shiny but still has a slight sheen to it but not tacky or cheap looking. It will definitely enhance any outfit I own. This is a beautiful coat. Color is vibrant! Workmanship and fabric is awesome. I saw other reviews about the hood being loose, but if you button it up as designed, it does seem to hold it in place better. I gave it four stars because sizing is off. I bought the XL as according to guide, but it was too short in sleeves and tight at bust. No way could I wear anything but a regular shirt underneath. (I am consistently a size large in every day clothes) XXL is loose enough to wear a thicker top, but I’ve lost a little weight and am worried how I will have to alter it when I get to weight goal. I love this coat! It is well made with nice waterproof materiel. Very stylish, nice lines. The fit is true to size. If you plan on laying a thick sweater go up one size. I plan on using this at home or easy to travel with. I like that the hood snaps on. The only thing that i would change is the hood could use a bungie inside to keep it on your head. Read more
Fits well. I got the 3XL. A bit tight around the bust and upper arms. But that's usually the case for me with most coats. Love the colour. I got it in red, and it is as vivid as photos show. Good quality. Good value for money. I recommend it. Read more
This was at my third attempt to get a lightweight trench coat with a hood. I wanted something breathable not hot and sweaty like some raincoats are and of course I wanted it to fit. When it arrives the Navy was a beautiful color. It did have cheap black buttons. It had a satiny look to it so I believe that this is indeed was a raincoat but as soon as I put it on it was hot, not a breathable fabric. It was a little small for me and I believe it's because Amazon keeps recommending an XXL which is a misses size and I wear a woman size 1X or 2X. I bought this raincoat because I walk to work, and live in Japan, where we have heavy rains almost all summer. I needed something light, something waterproof, and something cute and pink, and this coat checked all of my boxes! The first thing I noticed when I opened the package was the coat was surprisingly well-made for the price. No loose threads, etc. The fit is so flattering, and I love that I can cinch the coat at the waist with the belt to make my curves POP. The material is incredibly light that even when I wear it in 80°F/27°C weather, I don’t feel like I’m suffocating in the heat. Of course, it is still a coat, so I am sweaty, but it’s minor. Most importantly, the heavy rains during my 1.5 mi/2 km walk to work are no match for this coat. I get to work perfectly dry!
