For the price, not bad, does what is advertised. I am giving it only three stars because of the lack of ability to turn it off without having to reach behind and find the tiny switch on the bottom of the fan base... This is an issue because there are only two small slots that hold the 500 dollar machine in place, it wobbles on the slightest of touches, so having to blindly reach back behind the xbox is asking for trouble. The LED is bright, and the light bar makes it look cool when it's on, but not so cool when the xbox is off and this super bright LED is stuck on in your room all night (unless of course you unplug the usb, because the fan switch does not control the LED). Pros: Adjustable fan speed (drawing air in the proper direction), 3 extra USB ports make this a great stand. The light bar thingy is a plus, and it looks great. Really helps keep the console cool during longer gaming sessions. Cons: - USB cable to connect to the console is very short, so you’re forced to hook it into the Xbox’s USB 3.0 slot, which means either - You cannot use it with Kinect, or you sacrifice your 3.0 slot if you’re using a 3.0 external hard drive. A fix would be to get a USB extension cable. But if you’re like me and you have an external AND kinect, you start to run out of options, and getting a USB hub you’ll stuff behind your console becomes the only real option left, as annoying as it is. - The switch to change fan speed is at the rear of the unit. Which wouldn’t be too much of an issue, but... - ...The fan is not automatic. For example, the fan and green light bar will always be on as long as it is plugged in. I love this stand, as not only does it conserve desk space, but it also looks very cool with the green light "bar" included. I also love the option of 3 USB ports on the front. I can plug my controller charger, or any other accessory into the stand itself. My only complaint, which isn't really a complaint, as I don't mind it, is the placement of the fan controller and the the loudness of the fans. Personally, I don't mind the fan volume, as I always have headphones on during my gaming, but on the higher of the 2 settings, the 3 fans do get quite loud. However, they do serve a purpose, as it does cool off the Xbox, but I don't imagine they make that much of a difference. The placement of the fan controller is on the back of the stand which makes sense, but isn't easy, as you have to reach behind the stand, which could be a problem in small desk spaces with monitors (my situation). old phrase " better than nothing at all ?" comes to mind airflow is modest at best. i can feel it, but only just so. in computers, any extra airflow is good, but, this is modest at best. the add on fans i bought for my Xbox 360, put out 5x the airflow, albeit in a different arrangement ( from the top or side-depending on orientation ). ive read you shouldnt "stand up" the Xbox One series, not sure why, but, i simply lay this down, on some elevation so as not to block up one of the inlets. i dont need to cut the flow even more. USB connection that remains ON, even if your unit is powered down. so you have to unplug it every time. seems solid enough, just a very modest, if not weak, airflow overall. really did expect more from 3 fan set up. might last, might not, but there surely are better airflow adapters out there.
