Edit Oct, 2025: I'm on my third one of these cups. They all seem to fail in the same way where the brushes wear out. But I'm still happy with them and having it work reliably for 8-10 months is a decent value proposition for $15 or whatever it costs now. I do notice that at the end you get degraded stirring performance because of partial brush contact. But as far as actual stirring, it stirs well. I will agree with the other people who said they wish the magnetic charging cable could connect at a different angle or be more flexible. To charge it you have to sort of hang the handle over the edge of the table or counter because the cable goes straight down and it's not flexible enough to fit in the space between the bottom of the handle and the table. ---------- So first the good things, this cup works. I used it 4 to 5 times a day consistently for just over 10 months. The entire time it worked like a champ. It had no trouble with thick cocoa and milk. At the rate I used it, I had to charge it about twice a week. I like the auto-stir feature. It's great to be able to just press the button and leave it knowing it will stop itself automatically when it's done. After 10 months it finally died. I took it apart to see what had broken and it was an unexpected failure mode. The good thing was the electronics were fine and the battery still charged up to 3.92V. That means after 10 months of constant charge and discharge (roughly 600 cycles) it still had about 93% of its capacity left. The failure was on the brushes of the motor. It uses a motor with no markings. It's strong enough but the brushes are just little, very thin strips of metal. One of the brushes had just been worn down through friction until it was so short that it didn't touch the contacts on the commutator anymore. The other brush wasn't far behind. I could see they used to be longer because a few of the strands at the top and bottom hadn't been worn because they didn't quite touch. You can see in the picture the yellow lines show how long the brush used to be and the red circle and arrow show the wear on the opposite brush. Everything else about the motor, the battery and the electronics was ok. It's a shame because with just a very small upgrade to the design of the brushes the cup probably would have gone on working for at least another 10 months. All that being said, when my first one died, I liked it so much I bought another identical one to replace it. Read more

Product seemed great! Came out of box with a solid charge that lasted literal months. Would have given 5 stars until we went to charge it for the first time. The magnetic charger had the weakest pull I’ve ever seen for that style charger, and it will not take a charge. The charging indicator light slightly showed red if we are actively hold the charger in place at first but even that has gone now and it does nothing.
