As a plus size person who exists during summer, products like this help me tremendously when I run into issues with chafing and I have tried a lot of brands. This product is definitely effective at both preventing and helping protect/soothe existing areas of chafing. I find the formula to be a bit greasier than I'd like, and you don't need to apply a lot to get good coverage, so don't over apply or it feels messy. It does smell a bit weird and plastic-y, but that doesn't bother me much. After using this all summer I will say I think it does a solid job at both preventing chafing and soothing and protecting chafed areas, although I just don't love the feel of it and wish it felt drier/absorbed better like other ones I have tried. A little goes a long way. This works and is scent-free. In the summer, I used it underneath my knees, which somehow loved getting sore in the humidity. In the fall, I used this underneath my nose when my runny nose started to burn my skin. Immediate relief that lasted for hours. Really, for anything you'd need lanolin or petrolatum/mineral oil for, this is a savior. It's better than lanolin or mineral oil alone, which I also have. I think it's because it also contains paraffin, wax and cod liver oil that boost its effectiveness in barrier protection and nourishing moisturization. And months later, with sparing use for those painful cases, I still have over half a tube left! This needs to be in more people's toolkits! Read more
This ointment is a little stickier compared to regular hand lotion. It is thick and there is a little bit of greasiness, but it is very effective in soothing irritation. I like that it doesn't have a strong scent, and the bottle seems to be high quality so it's convenient to have it in your gym bag. Read more
The smell is so strong. It reminds me of the smell of Band-aids. I put it on once, cleaned it right off, and then threw it in the trash. Read more
