Smooth barings, holds quiet a bit, needs perfectly square corner to mount
The media could not be loaded. I received this rotating corner shelf for $17.98. It comes with two removable hooks, a towel bar, two sticky plates for mounting, and very simple instructions. The shelf has a round lazy Susan, which spins very smoothly. I tested the spinning tray with a 10 lb load and the ball bearings spin smoothly with no issues. If you are gonna stick more than 10 lbs on this...may the odds ever be in your favor. The unit I received is also slightly different from the listing. Mine doesn’t have any brush holes and my hooks are single, not double. The sticky plates that are supposed to line up with the top are a little finicky. One side on mine went above the mark, and the other wouldn’t go in far enough. Honestly, none of that really matters for me because this shelf won’t fit into any of the corners in my very old house. Even the newer molded shower stall in the guest bath was slightly too obtuse to fit the shelf. I checked the angle on the shelf and it is 90º so it's a me problem. (The sticky pads are very, very, very thin. I might try some thicker padded command style pads on it later and see if that can fill in the gap and work...) In the end, I wasn’t able to test the sticky pads or weight capacity while hanging on the wall. I was able to place it on an existing shelf and instantly expanded my usable space by nearly half. I didn’t need the sticky pads to do this, and it’s very well balanced and doesn't wobble when I turn the table. Yes, it sticks out but this shelf is up above and won't likely get knocked and if it does...the odds were not in my favor. It's easy to clean with a wipe down using a damp cloth or gentle cleaning wipe. Overall, if you live in a modern home with square corners, this shelf could work well. For older, slightly off kilter homes like mine, it’s best used as an add on to another surface rather than a free standing corner unit. Read more
