The smell does give off a calming scent and not too over powering. If you are sensitive to scents, this shouldn't bother you as long as you keep it on the lowest setting. My house is larger and it fills up a large space. So far it's durable and is lasting a while. I feel that it will last longer since I have it on the lowest setting. very easy to use all you have to do is connect to an outlet and you could easily use it. The essential oil is so good and it smells great.
