I have wanted one of February Mountain's exquisite, traditional Korean jewelry boxes for a long time, and I'm glad I chose this one. It is absolutely gorgeous, very well made, and the perfect size if you are looking for a jewelry box that has more than one layer without being awkwardly large. The detail of the mother of pearl inlay is incredible, and there are no flaws that I could see after a close and thorough inspection. The lid and drawers open and close smoothly, and the butterfly-shaped knobs are a nice touch. I like that the drawers and top compartment are lined with soft velvet to protect my jewelry. The box was very carefully packaged and came with information on the company as well as the traditional art form used to make these jewelry boxes. I think this would make a beautiful gift. Let me start off by saying I have deep appreciation and love for pretty much all things Korean, including its rich history, culture and art. I can tell that great care was used in making this jewelry box and the mother of pearl is just so pretty, especially in sunlight. This box would be on the small size for someone who has a large jewelry collection but it is just right for me. This jewelry box means more to me than most of the jewelry that’s in it. I plan to purchase another one for my daughter when she’s old enough but I also see this item as something I will pass down in my family.
