It’s small, so it fits well in cabinets and counter tops. This rice cooker is super easy to use. The programmed timer and setting features work perfectly for brown and regular rice; admittedly, I haven’t used it for much else - yet. Cleaning the cooker is easy; the rice doesn’t tend to stick to the pot if the right amount of water is put in. It does stick, though, if too much water is put in. Packages in the box is a small booklet and a measuring cup to help guide users for rice and water quantities. Read more

So I received my little cooker just fine. Opened it up and took out the instructions knowing I was going to use it right away. I opened it, I pulled out the insert, I used the wee cup it comes with and measured the water. I went to start it up when I realized my unit was all in Chinese!! Further the name on the unit is different then what is in the Amazon writeup. I had not even looked at that when I took it out of the box as the writeup is extensive and everything is English. I have laughed and laughed at this. The unit made excellent rice after I took the instructions out again and hoped the function buttons were in the same locations. I tell you I was in disbelief at first. Unit is not going back!! I am sure I have something that was not even suppose to be shipped to the US. I think it is great, funny and if you buy one do make certain to check the writing on the unit straight out of the box. You, too, may have a highly functional unit with a very unique set of buttons. Have had this rice cooker for 6 weeks. Cooks rice very well. A few bones to pick: A) Most important – the unit doesn't shut off when the lid is opened. After rice was on Keep Warm function, I dished it up and left the lid open while I ate dinner. When I went to clean up, I found that the cooker was still on. It should shut down completely if the lid is open. This is a safety issue. B) The inside of the cook pot is black. That makes the measurement marks inside impossible to see. I have to put on my glasses and shine a light in the pot. Even then, they are very hard to see. C) I don't know if the manufacturer can tell when they are messaging with the USA, but this led to a misunderstanding. I asked them about cooking "1/2 cup" of rice. I meant the U.S. measurement, and they replied referring to the measuring cup that comes with the machine. Of course, this wouldn't have happened if the U.S. switched to the metric system like the rest of the planet. Most importantly, it makes good batches of rice, and I plan to try some of the cookbook recipes. Read more

We don't want to store leftover cooked rice into fridge. This mini rice cooker is perfect for our purpose. The operation is super easy, just press white rice, that's it. The rice was evenly cooked and tasted good. It can be easily dissembled for thorough cleaning. It is really a mini one, easy to carry, we are planning to take it with us during summer vacation. I bought this as a Christmas gift for my parents as they needed a small new rice cooker. They were able to get 2 uses out of it and then it quit working. Since it was a gift, i was completely embarrassed that it quit working after they had only used it twice. Maybe I got a dud but I do not recommend. Read more

I haven't had good luck with some of the kitchen gadgets I've purchased recently so I was skeptical about this rice cooker, but it worked great. For measuring you have to use their included cup which is smaller than the standard 8 oz. I measured out 3 of their cups into a 16oz container for rinsing the rice, then dumped it into the nonstick basket. The basket has lines on the side for the number of (presumably their) cups so I just added water until it reached the 3-cup line. The resulting amount of cooked rice was more than I expected and almost filled the basket so I'm not sure using 4 cups of rice wouldn't overflow. We had plenty of rice left over from the meal, which is great because we use leftover rice for stir fries. The device was very easy to clean. Two things to note. First, the buttons are labeled only in Japanese so be sure you know which is which from the instructions. Second, the spatula does not fit inside the device with the lid closed, so storing it with all the parts and accessories together could be an issue. Read more
