I purchased this Fellowes crystal gel mouse pad in blue for my son to use in his home office. I purchased this exact same item approximately 15 years ago (from a box store) and it is still going strong. It has lived through elementary school and high school students attempting to poke it when they come to my desk to check out their library books. It is easy to keep clean with lysol-type wipes, there is no discoloration to the wrist rest, very little discoloration to the pad part (a few marks due to years of mouse usage), no gel leaks, and no tears or rips to the mouse pad itself. The mousepad fits perfectly next to my keyboard and I like that the bottom is slightly tacky (if you keep it clean) so it doesn't slide around. The design of the wrist rest supports my wrist perfectly and keeps me pain free after hours on my computer. I always had wrist pain using the flat mouse pads. I recently started a new job and can work from home a couple days a week. I purchased a third Fellowes crystal gel mouse pad (in a different color and design) because the quality can't be beat. If the headline itself shows I can be a little wordy, then allow me to get to the point. The gel wrist rest is very comfortable. The back of the mousepad will stick securely on your smooth, flat surface. The actual surface for the mouse it great. Personally, I am still getting use to the feeling of the mousepad surface because I've been using the cloth kind for so long. I may also have to update my mouse to something more current to get best movement and traction. I give this 5 stars. This is one of those items that you don't "need"-but it's so attractive and fun to look at with all the different colors available (I chose purple), it becomes a "want" that will make your day every time you sit at your computer. This has good quality gel that has helped my wrist. I did have some trouble with the slickness of the mouse pad. There is no friction whatsoever and it is a bit shiny, so my mouse pointer did not work that well in it. It has taken some time to adjust. On the other hand, there is no fatigue from any sort of drag on the mouse. It seems to have gotten better with use. I would have preferred a cloth type pad rather than hard plastic. It's tough for me to find wrist rests. The insides of my wrists are very sensitive, for some reason, and anything that's even mildly rough will irritate them. So, the edges of more traditional mouse pads rubbing on them, or wrist rests covered with neoprene, polyester, or cheap lycra-esque material. So it comes down to: I want my wrist to be off the desk and away from the mouse pad...but I also don't want anything touching it. This pad is the answer! The rest is soft and covered with perfectly smooth plastic, which somehow doesn't get stuck to my skin, which is a bonus. It's not too high, either, so I'm not trading one poor mousing form with another, worse one. The best thing, though? The thing I wasn't even thinking about when I went on this most recent quest to find a wrist rest? The mouse pad portion is amazingly smooth! Almost no friction at all between it and my mouse! No resistance at all, which makes every single task a breeze. No picking my hand up and recentering the mouse. No feeling like I have to force it in a direction. I keep my dpi and sensitivity way up, too, so now my cursor is lightning fast, the way it should be! I do wish the area of the pad was a bit bigger, but that's just a very minor nitpick. Would definitely recommend to gamers and people like me who work in 3D modeling programs a lot. Or anyone, really, but it especially makes those tasks much more pleasant! Read more

My old mouse pad with wrist rest was all worn out after several years of constant use out so I ordered this one to replace it and I love it! The gel wrist rest is cool to the touch which I love because I run hot. I have a feeling this one won't wear down over time like my last one did. Read more
