This is a nice starter pack for girls who prefer pads but really don't know what they need. It takes a while to figure out which sizes and thicknesses work best for you, if you want/need wipes or cleanser, etc. Or it works as a basic kit for parents of girls who have sleepovers, people with frequent guests, dorm rooms, etc. I love that the pads here use organic cotton. People usually think of organic in terms of what they put in their mouth. But other places get affected by chemical residues too. And organic is better for the people making the products and growing the cotton. The pads have zero scent, which is terrific. Clean and sanitary shouldn't have any smell at all. Read more

I've been using these organic cotton pads for about 4 months now after switching from conventional brands, and I'm really impressed with the overall quality. The variety pack is perfect for figuring out what works best for different days of your cycle. The organic cotton top layer is noticeably softer and less irritating than the synthetic materials I'm used to. I have sensitive skin and typically get some irritation with regular pads, but these have been much gentler. The breathability is definitely better too - less of that stuffy feeling you sometimes get. Absorbency-wise, they handle light to medium days really well. The 7" work great for lighter days and the 9.4" are my go-to for regular flow. The overnight 14.2" pads are adequate but not quite as heavy-duty as some conventional brands - I occasionally need to change them earlier than expected on my heaviest night. I love that they're completely plastic-free and biodegradable. It feels good knowing I'm not contributing as much waste, and they don't have that crinkly plastic backing sound that can be embarrassing. The main downside is they're bulkier than ultra-thin conventional pads, so there's a bit of adjustment if you're used to those. Also, they're pricier per pad, though I think the environmental benefits justify the cost. I switched to organic cotton liners last year and have never turned back. The RPE Life brand is new to me, so I looked forward to trying them. I also tested the cleanser and checked to see just how flushable the wipes were. I'm happy with my results below. PADS There are three sizes of pads included. I found them to absorb well, and the adhesive worked well to keep them in place all day or all night. They are thin, soft and comfortable. There is a little bit of bunching on the larger pads, but not as much as the other brand I was using. I especially appreciate that they tell us the length of the pads in their product descriptions so we know what we are ordering. So many brands fail to do that! It can be very frustrating to order a pad and discover it's more like a bandage for my knee. Or you get a pad so long it looks like it was made for a sumo wrestler. Guess work is over! WIPES The wipes are thick and work very well. The package says they are flushable. To find out, I put them in a jar of water to see how long it would take to break down. I tugged on them every 15 minutes and found a little more breakage, but they still had some strength after an hour. They do technically qualify as flushable so use your own judgment. CLEANSING FOAM This foam cleanses well and it's very gentle. I felt fresh, clean, and it was non-irritating. I'm happy with this set of pads and products. It's nice to find something new that is better than the old standbys. I will be repurchasing the pad sizes that I liked best from this kit. Read more
