My countertop steam distiller uses inserted charcoal pads to be a final filer for steam distilled water. It works fine. A bit tricky to insert into the distiller without falling back out, it works fine. I change mine every two months or so. Not sure if I need the charcoal since the only water that sees it is steam distilled, but it can't hurt, so ... Read more
