I really wanted to love this product, but thanks to the failure that is the self-adhesive method, I just don't. The shelf itself is very attractive and modern-looking; I had intended to use it as a small shelf above a bathroom sink to hold toothbrushes and mouthwash and other essentials. Unfortunately, I once confused a power screwdriver for a power drill, so I had no choice but to use adhesive to attempt to attach this to my wall. Sadly, very little adhesive is included with this product, so it is all but impossible to install using the adhesive alone. I myself found the shelf falling off the wall within a couple of days. What was meant to be a functional time and space saver in my bathroom ended up laying on the floor. I did not get to test the shelf for sturdiness as it ended up on the floor faster than I could pack it full. For the price, you could certainly find comparable products with better adhesive qualities. However, if you are willing to drill in this install--hopefully not directly on your fiberglass shower base--you may have better luck. Read more

Let's start with the positives: this is a nice looking shower caddy. Now with that out of the way, part of why it looks nice is it's metal, which gives it a high quality aesthetic. But metal is heavy, and so is this shower caddy. And a shower caddy that's heavy before you even put anything in it, is maybe not a good fit for anything other than a caddy that is securely attached to the wall with screws. If that's how you're going to mount this caddy, then that's great. But if you're thinking of using the adhesive, you might want to think again. Because this caddy is a hard, medium-weight metal, it could do a lot of damage if it were to fall. What if it falls on you while you're taking a bath? Or it falls on your feet while you're taking a shower? Or it falls and cracks the tub? So with all that said, I thought I'd try the adhesive as a test and give it a day or two to harden as per the instructions. 2 days later, I pulled the stickers off the wall and pressed fairly lightly down and it started to slip. I removed it from the wall to avoid taking the chance of it falling and cracking the tub. This was before even putting anything IN the shower caddy, mind you. Bottom line, this product may be fine if you're going to drill into your shower tiles. If not, this is not the shower caddy for you. Read more

The caddy itself looks well-made and sturdy, but the adhesive mounting option was a disappointment. The directions and illustrations were vague and not very clear, which already made me second-guess the process. From what I could tell, it wanted me to apply the adhesive directly to the unit in several strips and then use tape to secure it while it bonded. The included brackets also didn’t make sense for adhesive use—the deep grooves and holes on the backside clearly seem designed for screws, not glue. On top of that, the tube of adhesive provided was a very small amount. Sure enough, this setup was an epic fail. After three days I removed the tape, only to have the entire unit fall off immediately, leaving a sticky mess on both the shower wall and the back of the caddy. I now have to scrape it all off, and if I try to repurpose the caddy elsewhere, it won’t be in the shower since I’m not about to drill into the tile. For context, my old wire rack shower caddy had a simple plastic piece with hooks that was stuck using an adhesive bond securely for years—the only reason I replaced it was because I accidentally broke the hanging hook swatting a bug. By comparison, this ones adhesive securing method just doesn’t measure up. Unless you plan on using the screw-mount option, I would look elsewhere. The adhesive method simply isn’t reliable. This caddy offers plenty of space for bottles, razors, and accessories, and the rustproof coating holds up in steamy bathrooms. Installation via adhesive is quick, but the included strips aren’t the strongest—many users will prefer drilling for security. Once secured, it’s sturdy and sleek. Great upgrade, but adhesive-only setups may disappoint. Read more
