well it’s been really convenient. The size is just right for travel, and it fits perfectly in my bag without leaking. Coffee comes out hot and tastes clean, thanks to the stainless steel filter. The bottom lid makes cleanup super easy, which I really appreciate. Simple, well-built, and does exactly what it’s supposed to do. Read more

This little press makes surprisingly good coffee for how compact it is. It’s easy to take on the go, and the twist-off bottom lid makes cleanup much faster than a normal mini press. I like that it’s all stainless steel and doesn’t require pods or filters. It feels solid, brews a strong cup, and has been convenient for travel and quick morning use. Read more

Following instructions exactly it makes very weak coffee. Extending the process longer, as they suggest, isn't much better and hardly worth the attention it requires: stir press stir press stir press. There are better methods. It is better with teas, but no better than the cheapest tea ball. Very disappointed! Read more

I should note that my primary coffee making tool is an aeropress and my secondary one is a French Press. Both of these are superiors devices for the perfect cup of coffee. This advertises itself as a portable french press and if you look at the videos and product, it looks like it would work similarly to a french press. There is the same steeping phase along with a press phase. In reality, there are many huge flaws with this. First. The container is too small. This one is the v3 which supposedly holds 5g more than the v2 putting it at 18g of coffee. This is just over a tablespoon worth of coffee. That is not a lot of coffee. Especially when the french press calls for 1gram of coffee per 15 grams of water. At max capacity, you can theoretically brew 1.13 cup of coffee per use. Thats 9.04 oz cup. That's a tiny cup per use. At with a french press, you have maximum exposure to actually brew the coffee if you were to brew this small amount. With this contraption, your brewing is somewhat stunted by both the mesh AND the fact that you probably have to pack in the coffee to the brim which would reduce the surface area of brewing, which makes a weaker cup of coffee. 2nd. Its a little messy at the beginning. Because the container is so small, getting coffee into the contraption is more difficult as it barely fits a teaspoon. Its not like your french press or aeropress where you just dump it in one fell swoop and be done with it. The easy cleanup is accurate. It was quite easy to just pop it out and rinse the pieces. Verdict. This is supposed to be for traveling. An aerorpress works just as well, and just as easy to clean (it pops out too). You can purchase a resuable filter which would work to be more environmentally friendly (although the aeropress is made out of plastic). The Aerorpress in my opinion, makes a far superior cup of coffee than this thing. I do not drink tea, but i suspect this will work well for loose tea. Read more
