These magnets are fairly small but they're very strong. I use them on the wall of my ship cabin to hang my purses on and my hat so that they were more convenient to get to. If you have them hanging straight up and down side of wall they will hold 15 lb but if you have them on the wall and the item they're hooked to is hanging from the ceiling they will hold about 30 lb. It's not good to try to slide them to break their strength because it's best not to scratch the interior of the ships cabin and end up being charged to fix damage but you can pull straight towards you and then kind of flip it to the side just a little bit to break that strength. They have a swivel at the base which some of the other magnets did not have so that means you can swivel it to stay on the wall or you can hang it from the ceiling and if you hang it from the ceiling it has more power but you have to be tall to get it up to the ceiling or do it over the bed or couch. Since the cruise ship had little clothes lines that pull across inside the shower area bring you some clothes pin/clips like you hang your clothes outside with and you can hang more stuff up than if you just hung the clothes over the wire. I even have a few stuck to my metal appliances at home that I hang a towel on or hot mitt or a set of keys. I like them and I think you will too and they're not very expensive but seem to be well made. When they shipped them to me they came in a hard plastic box that kept them from getting all tangled up. Pros - strong Packaging is good, comes with a magentic bottom so the hook magnets are easy to get off and not just stuck to each other The hooks part comes in same box but you must attach yourself (this is a pro because you can esstientially put your own item in the base magnet if it fits correctly) Size - roughly that base magnet is approx an inch in diameter making it easy to hide. I have a secret lab magnus desk so the desk lip and just underneath can hold magnets and these fit perfectly in that area i currently use it to hold a plaid bear backback. I plan on using the others to hold up a sewing machine power cable so its easily removable and easy to put back up so it stays off the floor and dangling. Cons Shape (this is a personal con and I'd really like some square shaped ones this size with this style hook) Havent tested out how much wirght it can hold but just from putting it up and the strong hold it has it will be able to hold atleast a couple pounds. Color is great, will see how the black holds up as sometimes they can start flaking but at first glance the black color os done very well and looks stable. Use cases is limited by only your imagination. These can be used in so many places and for so many things, chances are if you can think of it it can be done (assuming it doesnt go against physics) Each hook can't hold much quantity wise kas they are on the smaller size) but can hold a bit weight wise. To reiterate these have very strong magnets and i love that. Might even look into using these magnets without the hooks to help hold up an u.derdesk drawer. Read more

Goodness did the tariffs do some damage or WHAT? So check this out: these hooks require you to assemble them. That is craaaaaazy. And they certainly don’t hold 40lbs. I mean if you really believed that, you’re crazy. It can hold a milwaukee m12 impact drill without battery (thats our unit of measurement for this lecture). If I put a battery in it, the magnet will begin to slide. Once the magnet is on though, it is on good. Better than the harbor freight hook magnets…except you have to assembly the hook. Read more

Magnets are strong and the flexible positions of the hook is nice. Appear to be well made. Works great for hanging potholders on the refrig or oven for at-hand needs. Read more

Tiny but mighty. I used them to hang calendars on my file cabinet at work. They look nice and blended in well. The magnet is very strong and it functioned as intended. Read more

These were already assembled, so based on other reviews, it sounds like they've improved on that front. I'm using these to hang dish towels and oven mitts on my refrigerator. Every time I hang something up, the magnet slides down, so I have to adjust it to maintain it at the height that I want. Each oven mitt weighs a fraction of a pound, so I wasn't expecting to have this issue. I know that I'm not applying 10 pounds of force to hang a mitt, so these are performing less well than I expected. Read more

These magnets are strong enough, just a little smaller than expected which isn't much of an issue. Read more
