This is the second time we purchased this for our dog. He loves it the first one disappointed. For running out soon after . The media could not be loaded. I really liked this at first because my dog really enjoyed it but after about eight throws, it stopped lighting up. Also, the description says that this ball squeaks it does not squeak at all it just lights up, which is OK for me. It’s what I need at night but if it stops working after 10 minutes of playing with it, it’s no use for my dog. The other thing I don’t like about it is it only lights up when it bounces so if it’s not bouncing, it doesn’t light up and it’s so hard to find it at night because it blends in with the darkness. Dog likes it, lights great at night in the park to play. Survives water because the light unit is separately in a small sealed plastic ball inside the rubber ball. It doesn't float that well. Dog had to fish it from under the water. Bounces great. I washed it off, initially the strange rubber caused the dog to foam a bit while playing with it. Washing solves. Other dogs liked it too. The downside is that of the 2-pack only one worked. And I pulled the light unit out of the dead one to see if it was rechargeable or I could change the batteries - they are small batteries - and that unit is sealed also and glued, so no easy way to change the batteries. Overall: Not terrible for the price, could be better. Nice idea but rechargeable might be nice. I don't know how long the working one will last, we've used it at least 5 or 6 trips to the park and a couple times i the yard and it's OK still. Read more
This is my second pack of these balls and they are great for my king charles cavalier when we go camping or even in the yard on a fall evening. Easy to spot and stay lit long enough. Good for small dogs. However, in this pack, only 1 ball worked. The other was defective. I kept it because we were leaving for camping the next day, but disappointed in the quality. Read more
I was worried that my dachshund, who has destroyed MANY toys so far, would destroy these, but they were tougher than I thought. I wouldn’t leave a big dog alone with them, but supervised play, like fetch, seems safe. It’s fun to play fetch in the dark! Read more
