I was caught in a sudden rain shower when hiking. Used this with walking poles, fishing pole and a raincape to make a small teepee type shelter. Perfect! Since then I have carried large garbage bags (construction) to build larger teepee type or lean-to shelters for overnight which work well as long as there's no wind.
