Cons: faux leather, black may show abrasions easily. If they were closer to $35 I would probably buy them in a different color. Pros: SUPER cute. I like "different". This ruffle is comfy and unique. The contrast of the heel looks nice, and they are perfect height - not too low, not too high. The ruffle curves away, but not too much that it looks weird. I have swelling in my ankles, so it is very hard for me to find some thing that isn't too tight. I ordered many pair of ankle boots these were first runner up. I ultimately did not choose them because the black, at 50, would be a disappointment if they got scratched up the first time I wore them. And for that reason I'm giving them four stars. But I bet this will be something I think about and regret returning, and If my ankle ever allows, I will go back and buy it, but maybe in the other color (tan) as it would hide scratches better. They don't look like all the others! Runs true to size - I am between 8.5-9 and ordered in a 9. I am wearing compression stockings and my foot is sliding a bit so I would try 8.5 if I wanted to keep this style. If you wear thick socks you may want to go up. Read more

I typically wear a size 9 but I think these run about a 1/2 size big. I ended up putting heel protectors on the inside to make them fit better because my foot was slipping out. They are super cute & some reviews said they scuff easily. I did not have that problem and have worn a handful of times. Read more
