Required an insole to fit right. Comfortable and easy to put on. The Amazon description incorrectly termed it as "lace up" , while in fact it conforms to the photo showing a Velcro type closure. I'm not diabetic, but I've had some foot injuries that cause most shoes to hurt. These don't hurt. Not sure about the long-term durability, but after wearing them for a few days, my feet weren't in agony. That's a plus.
