As usual, I read the reviews BEFORE and was hesitant on the purchase of this item but economics forced my decision. Oh my God! This is the most comfortable mattress I’ve ever owned! And no, I don’t work for the manufacturer. My mattress was delivered in the morning and I opened it up and let it do its thing…kinda like self inflation. Anyway, by bed time I was able to make the bed and good night Irene! The mattress IS soft. It actually cradles your body. I used to be a fitful, toss and turn sleeper now…nope. It did take me a bit to get used to getting out of the bed, I tend to roll. Tagus mattress is not like the firmer mattresses. If you want firm, don’t buy this one. You want comfort? This is the one. I swear to you, I feel like I’m being held. For the money, if this lasts two years, I’ll be happy. But I think it’ll last longer than that. You wanna spend $1500-2000? Go for it. But why? I wanted to wait until i'd slept on this before a review. I love this mattress and topper. This is the best sleep i'v had in a very long time. i'm 62 y.o., and it was no problem getting this out of the box, unwrapped and self-inflated... even up a flight of steps. Great construction, it inflated itself perfectly even on the sides and corners. This Topper (cool-gel tech) is the best thing since sliced-bread. No More hot hot nights..Amen! We bought this for my youngest daughter’s new bed. She sleeps in now and hasn’t woken up in the middle of the night. She said her new bed feels like a hug. I swear it is worth every penny to improve her sleep quality. In the end, I sleep more too! Win/win. Read more
