I had salmon go past the expiration date before cooking, so it caused the fridge to smell. I tried all kinds of methods to get rid of the smell (taking everything out, washing every surface with mild detergent and vinegar, airing fridge out for over an hour, soaking and leaving cotton balls with lemon juice and then with vanilla extract, throwing more food out.), but nothing worked. I tried this and the smell was gone in 2 days. I thought I might need more, but 1 is working great. This is a small unit.. stylish and out of sight but it's cute enough to keep it insite. It might be best to buy 2 as mentioned on the website.. so far I like it it's keeping my refrigerator fresh and I'm not smelling any odors I normally would. I want to buy a couple more for my outside refrigerator and an extra one for my inside one. It's stylish and out of site impressed. Sure beats the baking soda stuff.... I no longer have to buy those refrigerator baking soda boxes to put in my refrigerator every single month. I had to use the baking soda for other cleaning around my house. The taste there’s nothing to taste. It keeps the food fresh in the refrigerator. The air quality is wonderful. I can’t really speak about the power length because it’s not a plug-in.
