Great solution to needing a simple CD transport system with a good external DAC
Using this as a CD Player transport. IT WORKS PERFECTLY! It's quick to operate, remote works well, and coax out works perfect into my DAC. Great little compact unit. Only small gripe is that the feet need better anti-slip pads. I added my own and it works good now, but it was sliding when I'd push buttons before. Read more
Great little DVD/CD player for the money!
My older Sony DVD/CD player died recently and based on the positive reviews and price; I decided to order this one. It's much smaller than my older one, but based on my experience so far, it works perfectly for DVD's and CD's. Picture and sound quality seem excellent. The remote works well. I haven't tried it with DVDs other than those designated for region 1, so I can't confirm that it can play all regions. Also, it is not compatible with Blu-Ray DVDs, but the description doesn't suggest that it is. Lastly, as others have said, it's feet don't give it a lot of resistance to movement, but in my case, I attached some small self-adhesive silicone pads to the feet, and they keep it from moving when I press its buttons. Not compatible with laptop
I bought this because the description said it was compatible with a Macbook, no extra player software needed. It does not work with Macbook. I don't have a TV so it won't work for me. Despite that, it seemed like a good player, and the biggest thing is: IT HAS A WELL WRITTEN INSTRUCTION MANUAL WITH NO FOREIGN LANGUAGE CONVERSION TYPOS OR ERRORS! (That's unheard of today, where most English manuals are written by those who don't understand the language, making it hard for those of us who do). The case is thin plastic, not metal, so you have to be careful with it, but it seems pretty usable. The buttons are absolutely tiny and unreadable (black label on black button = zero on usability standard), but the unit overall seems robust. Remote control has good button touch/feel. Beyond that, I can't comment because there is no picture or menu control on a laptop, without a TV. Read more
