I use this as a backup to my guitar playing. So far, for the price, it's great. The sound quality is not bad and it's fun to play as a percussive backup to my main instrument. The elastic might wear out with time and can be easily replaced with something like a velcro strap. The body itself is plastic and should be fairly durable with time. Great buy. Read more
We went to a show where the singer/guitar player was wearing these. We were drunk and of course drunk Amazon purchases are the best, right? These are definitely the best drunken Amazon purchase I've made. We loved it so much I bought 3 more while I was sober. We just recently used them at my birthday party, and yes I am much older than 21 let's just say that. Everyone has a blast. They are very well made and have a great sound. I've used this in hotel conference rooms and gymnasiums, and it sounds grrreat as long as you wear it properly (the elastic band surrounding your shoe; NOT with the tambo directly on top of your shoe with both sides of the band under your shoe! - your shoe dampens/restricts it in the latter case). I've always loved tambourine percussion accompanying any main instrument (piano, guitar etc). Now I can always have tambo accompaniment when no tambo player is available! Read more
