Despite its unassuming size and it's simplicity it works extremely well. I have had them stuck on the side of almost every aquarium I have owned. I use them as a backup and a secondary thermometer for a quick comparison between it and my more accurate thermometer to make sure they agree and there are no discrepancies between the two. I have had them work for over ten years and outlast the aquarium. Word of advice, make absolutely sure you place it where you want it because once it's on the only way it's coming off is with destructive force. It can come off but you will break it in the process.
