This is an excellent controller. Though it’s expensive, if you see yourself using all of its features, I think it’s definitely worth it. I was skeptical that I would like the dynamic trigger functionality. It seemed like a gimmick at first. But I was surprised it actually helped me with gameplay. When you’re playing a game with guns for instance you can set it to be like a trigger. It was pretty cool and helped immersion, but also made it very clear when the threshold to actually fire was as you pulled down on it. For driving games where the triggers are the accelerators and brakes, adding friction and force to the triggers, made it way easier to find tune how much you pulled them. The extra shoulder buttons are also unexpectedly useful. Personally, I use them for turbo-ing the up and down buttons on the D pad, which makes scrolling through menus much faster. They repositioned the buttons on the back where your middle and ring fingers go and they feel much better than the Vader pro 4 which I was using previously. The gyroscopic aim is excellent: very precise with a good acceleration curve. The analytics are probably the best I’ve ever used, especially when you adjust the curves to your gameplay style. You can get a lot of precision out of them while still being able to do massive swings. I usually set the sensitivity and gain to the max. The tension adjustment is very good as well. I have it set to a higher amount of tension so that I can still get the precision I need at very small movements. It’s a very good all-around controller and I haven’t found a game where it doesn’t excel and actually improve my skill. I don’t use an animation on the screen because I find it distracting, but it’s super useful to have a manual on the controller itself so you can switch to different profiles and connect to a different device devices without having to navigate the device devices themselves or use the software. The new software they made to go along with Controller is also a huge upgrade compared to the previous version. The menus are way easier to use. They cleaned up some of the translation from Chinese so it makes more sense. It performs a lot better and it’s generally just a pleasure to use. I ordered this one with the dock as well and though I don’t use the screen because again, I think it’s distracting. It fits way better than the Vader Pro 4 fit on its dock. Read more

I play a lot of online first-person shooters on my PS5. I use a Brook adapter to connect controllers from other manufacturers. And the Apex 5 is the first gamepad that can be easily used wirelessly. I don't like the narrow sticks from the Xbox controller, so I replaced them with sticks shaped like those on the PS5 controller. It's a very pleasant gamepad, the materials and everything else are top-notch. The only thing is, to make your stick work properly and not so quickly, I advise you to remove the right stick and calibrate it. Then your input curve will be perfect without the terrible slowdown in the center. The Hall effect sticks work very well, even though they are outdated. The second generation of TMR sticks has already been released, and this one still uses Hall effect sensors. Read more

Controller continuously disconnects from my pc during gaming. It will run good for about 2 minutes then the controller vibration will get stuck on and it wont accept any inputs until I turn off and back on the controller. It's really sad the quality of this controller is amazing but I'm only able to use it wired which defeats the purpose of me buying this pos. I've tried both bluetooth and using the dongle neither will keep the controller connected. Read more

Allows multiple connection methods, including Bluetooth and USB dongle. Customizable LED screen with almost any gif you can upload. Responsive thumb sticks and buttons. You can customize the 6 buttons to any regular function of an Xbox controller, but no keyboard functions. Battery lasts a long time for its charge. Not heavy at all. The only issues I have run into is the left trigger isn’t as responsive and I’ve only had it for less than a month, as well as the Bluetooth function was kind of finicky. Overall worth the money in my opinion though. Read more

Too bad it will not work with the Xbox, because it’s well worth it. The haptic triggers are perfect and the sticks are to notch. Read more

10/09/2025 Controller feels awesome compared to my other pro controllers it’s a great price if you can get it on sale but the quality control is not where it needs to be for a controller of this price point. Upon opening the box i noticed the joystick had a crack on the ball of the joystick. Haven’t even used it once yet. (Update )12/31/2025 One of the levers on the back doesn't click anymore, controller does have stick drift. The controller is still usable but again at this price point QC needs to be much better. Going to update as I use this but 24hrs test this is the best controller I've play with in 30 years of gaming. I've heard few pc only controllers that are better but a controller that plays on multiple systems it seems like the best one out there. The only two cons is the price and the dock is 20 bucks more.
