Bought this for ren fair to match my outfit. It's surprisingly difficult to find lace umbrellas that are also waterproof, so I was excited to find this. Pros: - Looks great. Very pretty! The waterproof lining looks secure and thick, and the lace on top looks well crafted. - The little purse is a nice addition. Cons: - Smelled terrible of rubber. I don't know why it smelled so badly. - Did not function well. The locking mechanism to keep it open was stubborn. Would take a few tries for it to lock in place so the umbrella would stay open - The handle wouldn't stay fully closed. It kept sliding open when I had it hanging on my belt. - No auto open or close features. I had to adjust and fold the metal wiring my hand every time I wanted to open or close it. Very inconvenient and annoying. If it functioned better I could get over the smell, but it's not worth the money or hassle to have to manually fold the wiring open and close and with the open/close locking mechanisms malfunctioning.
