This is the nicest lap desk I have ever seen! I am blown away by how nice it is! I did not expect this quality! It's actually real wood. It has a nice hefty to It. The pieces are jointed together, not just half-assedly glued or screwed. The hardware is quality, no bending hinges. There's a little notch so you can easily open the storage compartment without the angle brace popping into position. The angle brace very delightfully knocks into position as you lift the table surface. The little ledge that prevents your items slipping off when angled? Removable! I am so unbelievably impressed with this purchase. It's like the designers thought of everything and actually used their product to make sure it would be an enjoyable experience. Really can’t complain about the quality of this for its price and I was looking for a tray/table that didn’t resemble a cutting board and wasn’t dainty or flimsy and this is great. It’s solid and kinda heavy but that lends to added stability while in use. I can easily rest it on my lap if I’m in a chair but it’s been so convenient to have nearby on the bed. I’ve had it for about a month and I have only one, minor complaint and it’s about the straight edge where my wrist rests while typing as it becomes pretty irritating over time. Nothing, though, that a little bolster hasn’t been able to completely resolve and, really, I’m better off buying a cushioned wrist-rest for prolonged typing on any desk surface anyway. The storage is perfect for all the device cables and remotes I need nearby that often slip behind my bedframe and the phone rest is perfect for quickly referencing something. Tall enough to set on top of another desk for a standing option, too. The faux finish looks OK but the texture really helps to improve the overall look of it, especially from a distance you can hardly tell it’s faux. All in all a good buy. Read more
I bought this hoping to use it right out of the box. It did not come with the insert to stop the laptop from sliding off while upright. Do I need to order this piece separately? It is otherwise very sturdy and crafted with some good purpose in mind. I like to spend time reading from my iPad and needed a place to store remotes and other things I don't want laying around in bed. Send me the dang insert-thing already! Read more

Perfect for almost a year until one side of legs broke off at base. This design is near perfect besides material they used. Product is made of particle board and like rest of it, the legs are to and is the weak point. Particle board is fine for everything beside the load bearing legs that has little support. Tried taking apart to remove bearing to replace legs but nut it wont break loose and yes i was turning the correct direction to loosen. If the legs and maybe outer frame was solid wood or legs had a metal rod running with it, that may solve stress issue. But there isnt anything else on market like it; I looked. So I ordered a second one and going to modify legs this time around. Read more
I really love this laptop. It is far superior to my old plastic one. I love the slant positions on this....legs are set at [erfect height....and the flat tabletop on the right is something I didn't even know I wanted! Really sturdy. I couldn't be happier. My only warning is to those who have severe illnesses, or are quite elderly...meaning, anyone who has very thin skin...the edges are not rounded at all. And. It's not heavy, per se, but it is a little cumbersome. Still....I LOVE it. Read more
