Nice and simple food scale. I like the stainless steel look to it, and from what I can tell it is pretty accurate, reading the same as other scales I have as well. I like how sensitive it is. If you exhale on it, it will measure it! I like the ability to switch between ounces and grams. Overall, it offers great functionality while also being a pretty affordable scale. I’ve never used a kitchen food scale before so I have nothing to compare this to. This IS plastic, the top is a metal sheet. I wanted to test this with something I know the weight to (according to google) so I measured my IPhone 13 without a phone case which is supposed to be 6.14 ounces. I tried numerous times and this is always off by 2-3ounces. Take that as you want but if you’re baking, it needs to be exact measurements. For the price, you get what you pay for! Read more

I’ve used it to measure ingredients for baking and also to check portions for lunches and it’s been spot-on every time. It’s also pretty slim, which I love. The scale is pretty standard when it comes to the sizing of food scales and I found it to be pretty basic. That isn't bad to say the least as it can change the metric units fairly easily with the tap of the screen and it does so instantly. The screen is also very bright and displays the reading very clearly. In terms of accuracy, I would say it's pretty accurate when weighing my fishing sinkers which clearly displays their weight on it and it does match with minor discrepancies like a .01-.02oz difference.
