This wireless Apple CarPlay device is great. I use this with a 2020 GMC product. As long as. your wifi and bluetooth are on it's a snap to setup. Open Bluetooth and add the device, you'll see the name of it at the bottom of bluetooth devices. Allow it to pair, it'll kick out a paring code but I didn't need to enter it. I just tapped off of the prompt and it was done. I'm not 100% if the iPhone 16Pro has WiFi 6 but this claims to be and is more than twice as fast as my old CarPlay adapter. My old one kept getting stuck in a boot loop so I went with this one and I'm happy with the functionality and the sound quality. The product looks great and is ultra compact. Connecting and pairing was super easy, but the very next day, I noticed some major issue. When I got into my truck, the entire screen was completely blacked out and had zero function. This is a 2022 GMC Sierra, by the way. It took me a minute to realize why the screen was blacked out and it is caused by this unit. I had to unplug it and let my screen turn on, and then plug it back in to allow it to work, so now I have to do that every time to get it to work. Also, the latency on this unit is terrible. There is a massive delay between audio and visual, and it almost makes me not want to use it. I would have given this fewer stars, but the installation was very simple and the unit is pretty cool, so I wanted to at least give kudos to the areas that deserve them. Update as of a few days later.. This unit also does not allow any incomign phone calls for some reason. It immediately hangs up on anyone calling you before you can answer. Outgoing calls end up running through the trucks bluetooth, not through carplay. Update... Their customer service reached out to me directly and offered a full refund for the issues. Worked for what I need it for. Apparently I buy bad cords lol and the CarPlay would disconnect constantly but with the wireless CarPlay it’s been stable and hasn’t disconnected since using so far. I like how easy set up was, I just plugged in and my car showed me the set up, took like 30 seconds. I also like how if I stop and take my phone out of the car with me it automatically reconnects to my car when I come back. Used it on a 2024 Kia sportage that I don’t see on the compatible list but it worked perfectly fine. Definitely worth the money and happy I don’t have to have another cord and can use my usb c charger port in the car which is faster than using the cord I had for car play (the car play doesn’t work with my usb c port) Not sure on durability yet but I like how compact it is and it doesn’t take up too much space and can just unplug it when I don’t want to automatically use CarPlay. After trying so many Apple CarPlay devices I can honestly say this one is the best one by far. The size and portability of this item is perfect it doesn’t take up any room and is perfectly sized to be left in the usb port or left somewhere in the vehicle for fast and easy access. This item works really great and works as advertised. The housing of this item is very durable preventing any damages from accidental drops. I would say the speed of connectivity is about 10 seconds after the vehicle has bee turned on. I definitely recommend this item for those looking for Apple CarPlay in a small package like this.
